Can always talcum powder/baby powder the back wall of the cab under the rear window to see if it's coming from around the rear window seal.

If you have one of those classic white Johnson & Johnson bottles, with all the tiny holes in the cap, you can twist the cap to open the holes, then feather the bottle in front of the panel. This'll send dust up toward the panel, and it should stick to the interior paint.

After the next rain, shine a flashlight on the panel, and look for water runs thru the talc dust. I'm sure there are other ways to do this, potentially smarter ones, but it's an option using something a lot of households have in it.

Went out to Rice Peak in the Santa Catalina mountains today with @AZBoatHauler
We both attempted this trail 2-3 years ago right around this time and couldn’t make the summit due to trail conditions. People have definitely done some “trail maintenance” since then; and that helped out a lot this time. The trail was short but the views were spectacular! IMG_8646.jpg IMG_8647.jpg IMG_8649.jpg IMG_8651.jpg IMG_8652.jpg and what’s wheeling if someone doesn’t break something?! I’m super thankful I only destroyed a solar panel vs breaking my rear glass!

Great views, bummer on the panel, those aren't exactly cheap either. A lot of them that size I was looking at recently cost more than a new rear shell window. Although I think that rear window is NLA.

New bulbs to test out showed up yesterday, and I installed my antenna delete today. Waiting on more packages to show up this week before I spend an afternoon doing electrical work under the hood. So the headlights will need to wait till then.

I’m sure I have long enough self tappers……. But the rack is what my shade and shower awning are mounted too. The brackets I used were the lowest profile I could find
It was a stupid move on my part, I was backing up blindly and a tree sprouted out of no where

So you're going to try both the 130/90 and 100/80 and see which one you like better?
    I'm installing the 100/80 tomorrow. I hope it's a noticeable improvement.

Noticed my sway bar bushings are shot so went to replace today. One of the bolts that goes through a welded nut on the R bracket was really fighting me and sure enough the nut broke off. Had to get the angle grinder out to cut it off. Ordered new bushing brackets from Toyota parts online with the BF discount ($30 each). Old one could have been fixed or just use a loose nut, but they were getting pretty crusty. Since I was going to be waiting for new brackets figured I'd remove and order new sway links as well. Those didn't want to come off either so also got the angle grinder treatment... ordered new sway links from rock auto ($100 each for OEM, nope).

I've never driven without the sway bar installed. Pretty sure that's not a big deal as long as I don't take any corners too fast yeah?PXL_20251201_001738354.jpg

Myself and plenty of others have deleted our swaybar. Don't corner too fast (like taking 270° interstate offramps above 35-45mph). You're going to be fine.

Yup, I also ordered a couple sets of the Osram 100/90w bulbs. Gonna try them all out and see which one gives the best light and without being too annoying to look at.

Annoying to look at? Like annoying for oncoming traffic because they are too bright?

Are there any other benefits of not having it on besides off road improvement? I haven't done any true off roading in a long time, so haven't put much thought into sway bars.

Yeah, trying to find a balance between bright conventional lights but not quite LED annoying. I already added one pair of off road spots, and have another set to install. Figure I can tone down my headlights a little and make up for it with the additional lights when I'm off road or way out in the country and on the lookout for deer.

It's a travel extension limiter, which may be a plus for some folks. It helps with body roll when turning at speed, it truly does kill sway. I've thought about reinstalling, I have new bushings, I'm just ... lazy, I guess.

Sorry I never got a pic of the seat mount temp fix. Got it handled good 'nuff and took off for Hidden Falls by lunch Friday. Got there about 5pm and setup camp near some hill country friends. Then went night wheeling on some 4's and 5's. Saturday I took my buddy Simon on some 1's and 2's in his stock 5th gen T4R. Then back to 4's and 5's, followed by more night wheeling.
    20251130_101415.jpg
I bent my Alcans leaf springs on the driver side. Looks like the main leaf might be fixable and the second leaf looks like it would probably need to be replaced.
I'm thinking about buying the Archive Garage leaf packs or building Alcan bastard packs 2.0.

I want to say my rear bumper is 200lbs, cap is 200lbs and spare tire is 70lbs. So I guess I could go with the medium leaf packs from Archive Garage. I'm interested to hear from anyone with these or their HD packs.

I went down this rabbit hole a few months ago. I went back to the colight projectors. I tried LED, high output halogen, a dedicated headlight harness, all of it. Hope one of them works for you, but they were not up to snuff compared to the mini projectors.

Gotta love marketplace. Absolutely did not need this, but for $75 bucks and close by… you just can’t say no.

I've got a set of colight Y6s sitting on a box untouched. Gonna try the high wattage bulbs first, and if none of them really make me happy, I'll tear the reflectors out of my housings and try the Y6 projectors. I've got other vehicles that use H4s, so all of the bulbs I'm trying will get used eventually.

    Your mom. :rofl::p

Nah man I don't know. I didn't notice until the ride home.
If I had to guess... it was one of the loud noises I heard last night. o_O
Could've been Carnage Canyon. Could've been the deep rutted S drop into The Falls. Could've been Green Horn. It's all a blur.
