Are you speaking of the plastic under the hood?

I just use a bucket, sponge and some Simple Green Cleaner under my hood when I do,

Fuel delete mod Cup holder upgrade
You can use some Perl or a similar product on your plastic engine parts. Recommend applying it with a brush. Concentrated or diluted will work just fine. No more than 5 to 1.

    Nightshade01,
that is a personal preference, like if you appreciate the look of 'shiny amour-all' appearance.
I clean under mine if Im under there for washer fluid or maintenance time.

following this. I know on the chevelle I had once upon a time, I used degreaser if it got too bad. most of the time just a pressure washer. kind of afraid to hose down the engine compartment on my truck.

Just use some dawn detergent and wash it when it is dirty. Degreaser if needed at times. Rinse with soft spray with hose and after run the engine with the hood open for 15 min or so to help dry everything. If you want to get crazy you can certainly wax the painted parts under the hood and you can use cerakote on the plastic parts to keep them looking brand new for a long time. Nothing difficult or expensive, just some of your time.

I use Meg's hyper dressing to add a nice shine.

Protectant attracts dust. I hose my engine compartment off about 3-4x per year.
