    Hola Sunnier!

My bars are standard. I wanted a more low profile set of bars

Mine is a Ranger. The third would sleep up top but be facing the other way. I would say a young teen could be the third up top. As for the bottom room you can sleep another 2 or 3 down there. The "Elite" tent was just too big for what I am wanting to do but that sleeps 4 comfortably up top I believe.

@Sunnier here is a picture of the tent closed. The tall bars still keep the tent right around the roof line plus you get a little more room under the tent to load your bed up with goodies. I was looking at the low bars at first then changed so I could also get the tab mounts on the side and the mount for the hi jack lift. Short version I found out does not come with those.

    Looks like the perfect height!

It's nice having the hi-lift on the side of the bars, just be sure to secure the handle and the base. When they rattle around it's very annoying haha

Thanks for the good info! I may have to look for an actual "3 person" tent, because I hope to have it years my kid will outgrow me.

I was about to finally push BUY on the short Relentless bars... with tab mounts. Back to the drawing board, I guess. I keep wanting super low profile... but since I don't have 4x4..., that's probably an unnecessary requirement.

Whitewhale just posted about his new
Gosfr.com RTT, which I'd never heard about, so I'm kinda lookin' at that. I love the Grand Raid, but it's hard to spend that kind of money and not have it fit 3 adults comfortably.

Have you checked out the company 23Zero? Only company really who makes a "queen" size tent that is an in between sizes of what most companies make from the small to large models.

@Marty McFly I finally took my truck in to the dealer for the "clanking" sound. It ended up being that the skid plate was installed wrong. This was the first thing I thought it was and tightened it but the sound was still there. Toyota pulled it off and adjusted it. The sound is gone so far.

That’s funny. I had Toyota also take a look and they said my skid plate was missing a spacer so they ordered the part. Thanks for the update bud!

When will you join one of our "easy" runs? I'm looking forward to meeting you in person. And checking out whichever of your best gens you show up in.

I've been wanting to join a Tundra run. Only been on one so far. Maybe if you had one in Big Bear/GVL area..? ;) Definitely looking forward to meeting you and Marty and everyone else. You can never have too many 'wheeling buddies!

Congratulations Mike! Have you come up with a name? I see some of the ones they've come up with over on TW. If dtaco insists on 'cumstain' tell him you'll name his rig 'quitter' like he did on Holcomb Creek last year!

    Thank you!
No, no name picked yet. oh man I wish I were there so I could use that against him!
I like Danny in person, but online he is a keyboard warrior. It's definitely not going to be any form of "splooge".

Is your username the same on TW?

I'm not on TW. I should be, I own two Tacomas. An '01 PreRunner and an '03 5-lug. Danny is a good guy for sure. He wants to run Dishpan in June. It was a Jeep shitshow yesterday on the Devil's Slide. As for a name how bout 'White Power'.

    Oh man!

Yeah you should be, it's a hoot over there!

Our buddy Oscar gave his Tacoma to his wife and picked up a Chevy Diesel named "WP" but it's White Privilege.

Thanks! I'm excited to get out there with 4x4 now!

Kept all my old lift components so that expense is out of the way. Friday after I got it, drove from Fontana straight down to Pelfreybilt to pick up an IFS and Mid skid. Just need to pick up wheels and tires and she'll be good to go.

What I took off my old truck:
Icon 2.5 coilovers, Total Chaos UCAs, All Pro leaf springs, fox rear shocks and sliders.
Then there's the new skids, wheels and tires. Also have a set of projector retrofit headlights I built nearly ready to go.

I'm still a little undecided on tire choice, but 99% sure I'll be going with Walker Evans 501 Legend wheels in black. I've always wanted them and rarely see them which I find cool.

I have heard great things about the KM2 tires. It's a contender, but going to throw a few options at my buddy and see what's the best deal. I'm thinking of running 33" tires for the first year or two. I have decent line choice coming from a 2wd where it's critical, but I know 4x4 trails are going to require different choices. I want to learn better line choice on 33" before bumping to some 35" tires
