    Who watches football?

    :woot::cheers: :drunk:

There is cell service down there. Realistically we could watch the game if someone brings a TV or projector and streams it. One year I went with some friends to Glamis and I shit you not they built a dance floor with a pole in the center along side a giant TV and watched the game in the sand haha.

Wait. A dance floor with a POLE in the center. Sounds like better recreation planned than just a Super Bowl party. @Marty McFly i can’t believe you’d just ‘like’ this and move on.

I don't think there's much snow up there. You should be fine. Angeles NF website might be helpful.
@Porschetech29 and quite a few of the SGU crew, right?

I’m not sure about the SGU crew. Several big mods underway. Are you planning to come?

stopped by WKOR this morning to pick up my sliders. Highly recommend WKOR. Great CS and no BS.
John and Natalie are super nice to work with. I ordered my sliders during BF sale and paid today when I picked up. Owner was very appreciative I gave him my business.

I'm very excited to be picking mine up on Thursday, which were also ordered during the sale. They have been a pleasure to deal with and can't wait to get them on the truck.

@Sunnier @sdde4n @nishibot @Mrs. Nishibot we may have to change what weekend we will be in San Diego. Looking like May 9th for the weekend offroad trip, unfortunately that is also mothers day weekend.
Our family friends that live in utah would not be home for the days we would have been there to see them, so we reversed our route.
I will confirm in the next week or two once i get approval for 7.5-8 days off.

Thanks for early notice. This could be problematic... but as I get a mom vote on what I’d like to do, I will try to make it work. I’d love to see you and finally meet C3. Keep us posted. :)

Anybody in the San Diego area have a rivet gun? Unless I identify a different fix, I think I need to use rivnuts to reattach skid plates to the front crossmember. I’ve been watching videos on how to fake a rivnut tool using nuts and a bolt, but figure talking this over with ‘someone that knows’ will probably be helpful.

My trips to Home Depot have not been helpful so I’ll head by Ababa Bolt his week. Any other tips or resources you can point me to will be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey Sunny, the truck is good but I don’t think I can make it to superstition next week. I’m in Parker this weekend and my daughters shows start next weekend so I’m going to be there for those.
It doesn’t look like I can make it work.

Access to a welder? Can weld nuts or bolts that line up with existing holes in the skid.

I have a thread setter tool but I don’t think it is the proper repair for skid plate mounting. For a more permanent fix and if space is sufficient, weld washers may be the answer. The kicker is they will need to be welded in.

So I destroyed a tire on my last trip to Death Valley. This was the perfect excuse to jump to replace the tires 37s and Icon Compression wheels.

Thank you for this! I’d never heard of weld washers. Yeah this looks way better than rivnuts; I was busy focusing on a solution I could do solo, but I know you and @Thesandaddict are right about a weld solution being stronger.

Weld washers would be ideal. Thought the nuts/ bolts might be a little faster depending on what's available. More welding surface for a weld washer.
A bolt from the cross member might work better than welding a nut because you will get less heat towards the majority of the threads/less distortion. Con to that is once the skid is mounted and bolted, the bolt end is exposed and can get galled up

Yup. Balanced way easier than my old General x3s. The price was right so I figured I would give them a shot.

I’ve heard good things about them. They wear pretty quickly, but the price, and traction is great!
