Hey Mike, more details on Superstition run!!
Go and get with people who will wheel what you want to, nothing formal as far as trails to sign up for, just on your own and camp at the end of the day? Kinda like SanG..

Yes, pretty much this. Bring extra beer, booze for the campfire, and warm bedding just in case. Last year was a *blast*!!

^^^ So little update- the OP needs to change the date. Sorry! So that is now pending but it’ll be around the same time.

As for the trip - Lots of people and lots of options! Get with some friends or make some new ones and enjoy whatever you’d like. Superstition is really cool with your options and once you explore you better understand the layout so it’s easy to find your way back to camp.

There’s a mountain of sand, lots and lots of miles of dirt trails, a dry lake bed, and “mud hills” which were once muddy but it’s the desert so now they’re dry.
You can take dirt trails out to the train tracks, follow the tracks and washes all the way to Fish Creek without touching pavement.

Also keep your Christmas tree! Saturday night we make a giant pile of all the dried up Christmas trees, add a splash or two of gasoline and POOOF!

Hey, @fisherman951, do you have a plan to distribute any toys we contribute, or are you hoping someone else does?

Secondly, is this something you’d like to do in he first week of December, just in time to hand off to the identified recipient (organization)? I can make it the weekend of 12/7 or 12/8... and could assist with staking a claim at Fiesta Island, or wherever, but pretty much every other weekend between now and the end of the year, I have other commitments already.

So... I propose any SoCal Shenanigans toy drive take place December 7 or December 8, 2019.
