I might be interested. Do they have a plate on top by any chance? The wife and kids still need to be able to climb in... I love my RCI HD steps but have already seen their limitations..

Already figuring out how to convince the wife that we NEED these for the truck.. is this a CL posting or private party? Feel free to PM me if needed. Very interested in the pricing. Been looking at the WKORs as well as RCIs prototypes.

You DO need real sliders to protect your truck! Not only will those RCI steps not holdbthe weight of your truck, but could break and assist in damaging it.

    You're welcome. :)

Yeah, $1000 would be a great price, $1400 not so much. For $1400 I'd choose another option.

Just curious since I haven’t done any research on them, what’s retail? If they are “used”, $1300 doesn’t sound like too great of deal.

It seems you aren’t familiar with Pelfreybilt. They are very well made products but the company went out of business (the short of it) and the remaining stuff left over seems to have a high price tag due to it being the last of it

Powder coated with top plates were pricy when new!

@eccracer already said it but I can add a couple of things: these are the same Sam has on his truck (in case you checked those out). I guess their being already powder-coated and local (no shipping) are both reasons to buy at this price. But... my opinion only, they're actually too beefy for our trucks. That's a lot of weight to haul around unless you're gonna ride the hell out of 'em. Even if you did, I can picture your frame bending in a huge hit (say side-impact collision) because the sliders won't bend. Toyota frames probably aren't as hard as these sliders. A consideration for me.

Awesome, thank you for the info and insight. Admittedly, it’s a company I haven’t been looking into. I thought it sounded familiar. Wasn’t this the company that was highly controversial when it went under? A lot of people lost money/ paid for products? History is history, as long as it’s a solid product is all that really matters to me.

That’s an interesting consideration I hadn’t thought of before in respect to sliders.

I have thought of it suspension wise: somewhere needs to be the weak point, or else you’re just moving it.

Yep, that’s the same controversial company

Thank you! Didn’t realize these were the same ones that Sam had. I’ll look at his more closely. To be honest, he is set-up to do a lot more damage than I am. This is still my daily and kid hauler. Have to find that balance.. that being said, even looking at the other options, $1400 is right in the range.

I just shared since no wait time obviously. They are already powder coated and in poway(San Diego)area so kinda beats driving to Apple valley for WKOR. Also the top plate was a must for me as some of u guys seen I always carry my 3 kiddos lol

Hey i just my two cents on this topic. Save your money and pay around half and get a set of WKOR sliders. .180 Diameter. The ones you are looking at are a great set lets not be wrong as they are tested and true but are very expensive. We all also would love a set of SDHQ sliders but also very expensive.
