On my 2019 Tundra, I noticed that the part of the dash closest to the bottom of the windshield dips down off center towards the passenger side. I took my truck in to the dealer for a different issue today and showed the service advisor. When I came back the SA said the tech said thats normal, its due to the airbag.. which I think is complete BS since there is no air bag in that part of the dash.

My 2013 is just like that. Dips in the middle of the far front edge of the dash, against the windshield. Always figured it was sag due to environmentals.

The dash is certainly one of the least appealing features on our trucks. Mostly because of all the damn noise it is capable of making. Mine looks the same but I think it’s just the angle playing tricks on our eyes. Sit in the passenger seat and look at it and it appears normal. Just the design IMO and nothing wrong with your truck in particular.

Yeah, several other new Tundras appeared the same.. a couple did not appear to have any dip.
Oh well, probably best not to let the service dept tear open the dash.. can only image the issues they would cause.

It is a narrow strip of plastic with no real support under it, so any difference in temperature is going to make it expand which gives it nowhere to go than up or down. Realistically they could have reinforced it better to prevent that, but I don't think that was their highest priority or concern when designing the truck.
Mine is a little wavy, but when I press down on the high point it seems to spread it out a little making it less obvious. I know it is like that, but it has not really bothered me too much.
So, I would say that it is normal, depending on each ones' definition of normal (vc. common vs typical vs acceptable etc.)

Yep mine does it too. I think it was designed for pennies to roll down and get lodged in the dash :annoyed:

Yep. Mine too. But it appears the dash is curved and has a slope off instrumentation, etc. It appears “normal”.

Didn't @Elk Hunter complain of having a dash curved like a victoria secret model too??

Maybe there was some truth to that.

At least your dash doesn’t sound like 2 dolphins having sex. And this is only going like 10mph. Sounds like a massive dolphin orgy when I’m going 30-40.

Lol. Only on the dirt. I took it to Dublin Toyota before it got this bad and they said the sound was coming from my aftermarket suspension. :facepalm:Bunch of idiots. My factory warranty is over at the end of the month so I’m taking it to Livermore Toyota on Saturday to get it fixed. I hope they’re not as incompetent there like Dublin.

I when to Dublin Toyota when I was looking for my Tundra - will not go back there ever. Hope that Livermore is able to take care of it. If not, I had good luck with Concord Toyota fixing my dash creak.

TRD Air Filters, Front door windows tinted to match the rears. Wheel locks, Talons Garage cat shield, Tyger Automotive soft tonneau cover, WeatherTech floor mats with Tuff Skinz Custom Emblem kit, Toyota OEM Emblem Black Out kit. AVS vent covers on all four doors, Red Tundra letters on front bumper & TRD highlighted in Red on front grille. Tailgate Tundra Letters in Black.
I thought the popping of my dash in my 2008 Tundra was bad.

Dang! That would drive me crazy.

    Hope you get that fixed.

If you saw this in several Tundras, I would think it's normal. Not necessarily acceptable, but normal. I'm not a know it all, but I figure the big three + Nissan probably have similar or worse issues than this on their trucks. I wanna know who is gonna give you the 100% perfect truck?

Upon further inspection (yes, I went outside to look) mine doesn't seem to dip that much. But definitely not straight.
