    Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone else has gotten "standing" water in their tail light.

Everything I've found says to let the tail light dry as much as possible. But, while I was trying to figure out the root cause, it looks like the bulb didn't seal to the light correctly.

Which was okay, that's my bad for not putting it on tight enough.
However, when I tried to place the bulb back in correctly, it wouldn't flush, or seal all the way.

These lights are the Smoked OEM Style.
Everything inside the tail light seems to match the bulb assembly, but it just won't seem to get all the way in there.
Has anyone else had this sort of trouble getting a bulb to seat?
Thanks in advance, if anyone has any thoughts.

I actually don't think so, I pulled the tail light, and section that had water in it, is the section where the bulb wasn't seated correctly, and now won't seat.

Yeah, all three bulbs have their gaskets, I checked the seam on the light's lens too. I am certain it just wasn't seated correctly, and now it *really* won't seat correctly.

Is it loose when you insert the bulb and twist, or can't you twist it to get it tight?

The part that holds the bulb, with the tabs won't totally go into the tail light. They line up and all, but I can't seem to get them to sit flush so that I can twist to complete the seal.

Do you still have your old tail lights to see if the notches are exactly the same?

Yeah, I'm going to dig out my originals tomorrow to check them out. They're in my "take-offs" box in the rafters.
