Mine had a tiny tiny crack in the radiator.

It would blow out while at operating temp, but the crack was too small to leak in the driveway

Check color of oil. Then check for wet area at front of engine behind and below the fan hub.

Get underneath and take a look at your water pump for the pink ooze that might be leaking out. My 07 water pump has been seeping for over 4 years causing a pink crust to form around the lower part of pump gasket. I have to add a couple oz's every few months. I have a new spare pump in waiting.....

You should be able to smell the coolant if it's hitting the engine. Kinda a sweet smell

Unfortunately, the temp sensor doesn't register properly when the water level drops below the sensor level.

My 2007 5.7L Tundra is using coolant - no overheating (197,000 miles). I can sometimes smell the coolant but there is never any signs of leaking on the floor. do you start with replacing the radiator cap, then to a shop to check the radiator?

I’d start by replacing the radiator cap with a quality cap, like Stant. If that doesn’t solve it,
take it to a radiator repair shop and have it pressure tested. Shouldn’t cost much and is a good starting point if you can’t see anything visible.
Recently the wife’s mini was leaking coolant. Started with the cap, and was told by the radiator shop, that Murray caps have a decent failure rate out of the box, and Stant was the way to go. Ended up being the thermostat housing, which I ended up replacing myself.

The water pump is known to weep. My 07 pump was weeping for some time but I never had to add more than a few ounces of coolant occasionally. You need to remove skid plate and take a gander at the bottom of the pump. If it is weeping you will see a pink crust forming around the seal. I'd check this first since this weeping is usually the primary cause of coolant loss with the 5.7

When mine did Exactly that, the heater valve needed replacing, it was leaking just a little bit at at time, only when the heater was turned on, the small leak would drip down the firewall and evaporate before it ever dripped onto ground, so no evidence left. Luck.
