I was at a stop light the radio froze as green light i started to go i was looking a dash board and radio me and my wife saw a quik messenger pop up something failed in center as fast as it came it went away. Got home turned truck off and on see of any new icons were light that when my wife out side of truck heard 3 clicks underneath the from of truck. I turned on and off again samething sound like either the breaks trying to engage or release. Took it in the service advisor called the shop Forman sound like actuator trying to engage right away I said waste gate he said maybe breaks. They took it back and put it up and after he came back said it sound like there clicks coming from underneath both front wheels thats were the turbos are around that area said it sound like them trying to clear or open I said I never heard that sound before after I start the tru k its around 7 to 10 seconds after I stared engine and been out side it never heard it till after the error happened. I thought they were able to pull up the message (assuming it happened flashed at least 2X if I read correctly).
Hopefully they get it diagnosed and fixed (and it’s nothing major)

That’s normal, the wastegate cycles full open and full close on startup. It’s a system check. If there was an issue you would have a check engine light.

I agree, I believe you would have a check engine light that would not go away until the problem was corrected

Bro you’re wasting your time and the dealer’s time. It’s the wastegate clicking when it does a self test at startup. Tell them to run a wastegate test on Techstream. They can use Techstream to command the wastegate to fully open or close. I guarantee that is the clicking noise you’re hearing. (Is normal btw)

I get that but not three times way after start up. Everyone knows there own vehicle mi e never made noise after the the start up. Like I said I heard a ne Tundra start up and it made no such noises after start up no clicking or no sounds of and thing opening.

I'm having the same exact issues. It never did this before and is getting worse and worse as my truck is running rougher and rougher. What ever happened with this noise? Is your truck still making it? Did they ever diagnose or say it's normal?
