Toyota is actually going to fix one of the problems with my truck. I've been told that linex will repair the bedliner that is bubbling and peeling up. Can someone tell me what to expect. Will they remove the entire liner and spray new? Do I get the top of the line linex or standard? Have you been happy with the results? The shop foreman told me that Toyota has actually set up a seperate website for them to make claims, so it is evidently a widespread problem. I also never wanted the bedliner, but every truck in my area had it.

I think I've only read 2-3 instances on the forum where Toyota bent the knee and allowed a Tundra owner to get a new bed liner via LineX. If that's true, your pool of people able to answer this question is relatively tiny.

I think Toyota is working with you because you said your liner is bubbling. This indicates that it wasn't damaged due to impact from payload, which seems to be the sticking point for everyone else's warranty denial. If Toyota thinks the OEM liner was damaged from impact or improper loading, it seems they instantly fight/deny any warranty repair. Bubbling is obviously an issue with the application of the liner, so they can't fight it like they would with a scratch/gouge/hole/tear in the liner.

That being said, I've had the "basic" LineX done before on a previous truck. Granted it was quite awhile ago, but I don't think much has changed. I had a 2007 F150 at the time and had the cheapest liner sprayed in at a LineX shop in Oklahoma City. It held up well for years and I was surprised how thick it was for how cheap it was. I'm sure you'll be fine with it.

Sucks so many people have been having issues with this. I've had my truck since Dec of 2021 and have had zero issues with my liner. We were remodeling 2 rooms earlier in the year and I took many loads of debris to the dump. Shattered wood with nails, old pipe, sinks, toilets...you name it. All of it just tossed in the bed without much care and I haven't seen any punctures or holes in my liner.

I thought I would follow up here. I was finally scheduled for the bed to be repaired. The people at linex were great and stated that the original liner came up very easily even though it was so thin that it came up in small pieces. Here are som pics.

I'm curious what a job like that would run, interested in something on tailgate when getting in the back during rainy or snowy environments. Rubber mats don't cover the tailgate.

If you just want them to spray the tailgate, then it'll only cost $150-$200, at most. Probably even less if you were willing to take the tailgate off and just leave it with them so they can spray it on their schedule (if you're not in a rush).

A full bed spray is usually around $600-$700 for a short box. That price is assuming the bed is a bare bed. If they have to remove a previous bed liner, then the price skyrockets because there is a ton of labor involved to remove the old bed liner.

In regards to the time frame some of that was on Linex and my schedule, but I've been waiting on molding for the platinum on the sides for almost a year now.

Ahh. Gotcha. Given the issues that a lot of folks have had getting Toyota to warranty any bedliner damage, I just assumed you've been fighting with them for 2.5 months. lol

It was actually the easiest of the multitude of problems that I've had. And based on the shop foreman's assessment it is very widespread. They refered him to a seperated wesite that had been established just for bedliner claims. The Linex owner said he never recommends spraying to Tacoma owners. I had no choice every build sheet in my area had it.

So, a side question. What trucks have the Toyota logo in front? My 23 Limited didn't and did not have a bedliner. My 23 Capstone has both.

My bed-liner was starting to peel up on 22 Limited, but I finally found a 23 Plat I wanted and made the trade 2 days ago. Not my problem anymore, but good luck to those that have it.

My Limited with spray in bed-liner had the TUNDRA, but my Plat without spay in bed-liner does not have the TUNDRA. I think we see a pattern.

It's specific to and a feature of the spray in bedliner.
