Wondering where you all mount the controller box for Warn zeon platinum winch. I got a fabfours matrix bumper and there is not enough space to mount the winch with a light bar. Controller has be relocated using relocation kit. Just looking for idea where to mount the Controller... Please share pictures ..

I relocated the driver side horn, made a bracket and used the horn bolt spot to mount my controller.

Not a very good one. I took a few pictures while I installed my bumper/winch. Now I open the access panel at the top right of the grill to attach my remote.

You can see the control box with the wires existing to the left.

I have the same bumper but a smittybilt x20 winch. I got a bracket and mounted the control box inside the bumper next to the winch on the passenger side. That way I can still reach it and plug in the remote if I need to. That winch had the same clearance issue with a light bar. I can take a pic when I get home if you want.

What are your thoughts on location? Do you have any ideas or do you just want to see what others have done?
I pondered a controller location or quite some time. Was considering the area to the front of the battery. There's kind of a little space where you can locate the contactor without the box. I considered that area but I wanted to keep the contactor enclosed. I could have kept the contactor mounted to the winch, but on my setup the winch is low to the ground and I wanted to keep at least some of the terminations above possible water and mud. The left side of the radiator has some space, but may require bracket fabrication. The firewall looks good ,but that is a lot of wire running around.

28 years of electrical experience basically told me that there was no "great" place to mount the contactor pack in the Tundra without bracket fabrication and possibly moving a few things around in the engine compartment!

Thanks, no ideas yet but wanted to see where others may have placed it.

I have a smittybilt winch, controller was relocatable from top to side. I made a little bracket and got longer cables and mounted it in the engine compartment to the left of radiator. The control box can be mounted anywhere with longer cables. The clutch lever I left alone as my bumper had an acces opening for it. 6472E09A-E324-4199-B81C-00FDFED9A902.jpg

I’ve got the Rago twin ARB compressor mount where I mounted the ARB relocation pack along with a contactor for a kill switch.
