Just wondering if there are any options to use my cargo bed lighting on my camper 3rd brake light.

To have it always on? If you want to use it as a brake light, just run a wire down to one of the tail lights.

I actually want it to turn on with the switch in my cab. Also Auto on. Just like 2018 cargo lights behave. But since they are now covered with my camper shell. No use out of that light and the switch.

See cargo light just useless now. But since I am wired might as well extend it to the back of the camper shell. I already got the 3rd brake light wired to brake lights.

ah, I see. I misunderstood. IIRC, the wires to the high mounted cargo light go through the headliner. I was thinking about doing the same thing, but didn't want to pull the headliner to get at them. I thought that if I connected the wire to the fuse under the dash for the cargo lighting it would work, but it does not. it is always on, so there must be some other relay controlling it. In the end I just ran a fused wire to the battery and use the switch in my canopy, I may revisit it later if I find new info.

Yes I would love to have the switch turn on light in the Camper or outside of it. Still trying to figure it out. Most likely will pull down the headliner from the back to get to the wire. Perhaps find a diagram.

I would just check it before you get too far along, and see if it is always hot, or switched.

OK ordered lights and will finally do this. Using white LED flood lights for rear.

Hi Siberian Tundra, wondering if you ever got that cargo switch hooked up to an LED in your topper. I was thinking something similar so please share if you have any info. Thank You!
