Well....think my radio took a shit on me:eek2:. My volume is stuck in low mode. I cannot turn it up or down. I read where this was a problem for some when they purchased there truck , and had to bring it back for a new radio swap. I guess I got lucky until now. I guess in a good way this definitely motivates me to buy new system. I'll probably do it in stages. Head unit, then speakers, amp, and woofer. Been looking at a few double din Android units. Anyone have any recommendations? I will Not be doing install, haha. I don't have the time, and I want it clean. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great. Thanks

I've never read of this. The steering wheel buttons have no effect?

Pioneer or Kenwood seem to be great go to HU's. Many are 50 watts x 4, so you might not need an amp right away. Stock HU like 12 or 20 watts.

Our Pioneer drives the stock speakers much better. Not even thinking of other audio upgrades.

I haven't picked out exactly what I want (I want a rear view camera, phone connectivity, and GPS) but this spring I'm going to replace my stock unit. Others have already done so. Someone must have a stock heat unit you could have. I'd give you mine but we still have a foot of snow on the ground here so it's hard to get excited about working outside just yet.

Just figured that was the easiest answer. New one will come with a radio, saves you on labor.

I actually replaced the spears, then the HU and finally added the sub.
