I got my youngest son a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta yesterday. I got it from a dealership that has a 3 day 300 mile return policy (may get to see how it works).

I was loud in town so I didn’t notice it. At home I noticed that it has a solid engine tick.

It’s the first Volkswagen I’ve ever owned and not sure what is common. I stopped at a different dealership today and looked at some Jettas and they weren’t silent but they they weren’t loud. I also filled it with premium and drove it about 15 or so miles. Drives like a damn top for a little car, but still has the constant engine tick when standing in front of it.

    Any insight on Jettas?
