It will be awhile. As far as I'm aware there is only one production, and a prototype that do not work, maybe one of them can help you.

Not really going to work with the bracket inside the cab. Will see if i can remove from the bracket and figure out a different mounting method.
The quality of the bracket is awesome, just wont fit the 2nd Gen with manual seat.

I gotta have one in my cab so I'll start mocking up various locations. But I won't get to it for a few weeks

Yes, but I will get one to you if still interested. You may have to wait 2 weeks, I literally have 26 hours of things to do every day for a bit. Let me know.

I definitely want one if you've got some available or are doing a second run.

These will be available in the next 2 weeks or so, but will be built one at a time for each order. Thanks!

What? Why are you adjusting your seat? Works fine for me because I never adjust for other people. Stays where I say it stays :locked:

When adding the fire extinguisher it pushes the bar up allowing the seat to be unlocked and move freely. So every stop or hard acceleration my seat would change positions. Not what I want.

I agree. I wonder why your dimensions are different than mine. I'm manual seat adjustment as well. I have mine pushed as low as it will sit, to the point where i can't make it move any lower if i wanted to. Can you bend the supports to angle the rig down a little?

No, unfortunately it will not work. The only way to make it clear the manual seat adjustment bar on 2nd gens is to hang it forward and down. I met Bryan, and he would be kicking it(tall), and cursing me if I tried to give him one. His seat is way different than yours Almaboy.

I got the HalGuard 250B 2.5lb extinguisher from osidepunkers post and it comes with its own mounting bracket. The bracket that comes with the mount only works for the Kidde so i had to remove it and drill new holes to mount the HalGuard. The fit is very close and i am really happy with the high end extinguisher.
I also carry a Fire Mask in my truck as well as have some in the house and shop too. The Fire Mask comes with heat gloves too.

Shoot, he got the mount I made for that, but doesn't fit gen 2 manual seats. It is quite a bit beefier, and angled to accommodate the halon nozzle.

I will say it again: The bracket is awesome, well made and powder coating is very tough. If it fit with the 2nd Gen manual seat I would have it installed and have pics all over here. Just one of those things, without further modification it doesn't fit. I'm sure that we could come up with a good design to correct this but doesn't sound like this is going to be a money making venture that will continue. It is costly and time consuming and at a price point people will pay for these just doesn't make financial sense on a small batch level.

Yours has 4 arms that connect the seat bracket to the extinguisher bracket. I think you will be able to extend and alter the angle(if you look at the pics, you can see the 4 arms in my above post), and I can help with that if needed. It will still be a compromise, that extinguisher is to big for my liking in my truck, but mine is not my trail rig either. Let me know, I wont be on here regularly for a few weeks, moving.

I would like to build you one of these mounts, let me know if you would like to see what we can work out. If I had any idea people, not just you, would use extinguishers different than the mounts were sold for I would not have offered them that way, they would have had to be all one off to fit and that would of been cost prohibitive to do. I am moving, tied up for a month, but insist you at least entertain having a new bracket made. @Tacogrande

Mods please lock this thread, I would like to open a new one that focuses on the ones that can be built. I have developed a basic, and high end mount that fits all 3rd gen great, as well as a very nice factory bed rail mount, and mount accessories. Please close so I can start confusion free.
    Thanks!
