20200103_154135.jpg 20200103_144159.jpg So I just had the 6" Pro Comp coil over lift kit put on my 2013 2WD. I am now noticing a small vibration or flutter between 9 and 12 mph. It happens when I accelerate from a stop or I decelerate to a stop. It does not vibrate at 9-12 mph when coming to a stop if I put it in neutral. It definitely feels to be coming from the transmission. I am not educated on lifts but I am wondering if the 35" tire size and added weight has caused a shift pressure problem inside the transmission. I am pretty sure I need to buy a tuner so I can recalibrate the speedo for the new tire size, will this help with transmission issues?

So that wouldn't be part of the pro comp kit?

My pro comp lift came with a variety of carrier bearing spacers (3 pairs, different thicknesses, if i remember correctly). Im pretty sure the instructions were to start with one spacer, then use a combination of them to fine tune and get rid of the vibration. Its different for every vehicle

Some lifts come with the diff drop spacers but I'm not sure on the carrier bearing. This is what it looks like installed. I'm betting that you don't have one as 99% of vibes after the lift leads to needing the kit.

Well I just looked and I have carrier bearing spacers so I don't know what is causing the vibration / shutter

do you have just one spacer like Tundra234’s photo? Because when i did my procomp lift they included more than one. U might have to stack the spacers to drop it down further

Also, you have check the carrier bearing itself? If its loose your driveshaft will have all sorts of play. My lifted tacoma constantly was throwing out carrier bearings.

That driveshaft angle really doesnt look bad. And it appears that the carrier bearing is in tact. U could add another spacer but it seems like it could be possible that it could be something else entirely. Hopefully someone else can chime in.

For that much lift, the spacer should be about 1.25 inch thick.

1.25"....?. Damn that's a lot. What problems could it cause if I space it too much? I'm stressing that this shuttering / vibration is damaging my transmission

The 1.25 isn't going to hurt anything at all. You wont be spaced too much going that route. It will set the drive angles to stock which eliminates the vibration. Coachbuilder who makes these knows what they are doing. He is very well known throughout the Tundra world and has alot of different items for these trucks. https://shop-coachbuilder.myshopify.com/
