Yesterday I went on a 200 mile trip and on my way home I was driving on a curvy/hilly country road. I used to drive that road daily for 14 years when I worked at a different location so I know it well (which make you complacent).

Anyway, I was going about 50 when I came around a curve where an accident had just happened, there was no warning or any way to even see that. I was actually paying attention at that moment but my collision warning system went off before I could even touch the brakes. When I stepped on the pedal the truck applied what I think maximum brake force because every loose item ended up on the floor but I came to a safe stop.

I guess that was, also unintended the real test. I am glad that I have that "nanny", it probably prevented me from being involved in an accident.

At my age (60) the nannies come in handy. I know you young guys don't want or need them, I was once in my 20's/30's and also was invincible.;)

    Agreed, glad you are safe.
Haven’t had the brakes help yet but the other day someone did pull out in front of me and the alarm sounded and the dash flashed. Helps you be aware. Some laugh at it but am thankful the ‘18s have it! Absolutely love the cruise control radar

Glad you are safe, it’s good to know technology helps to keep us safe, and I also love the dynamic radar cruise control.

Thanks! As far as the adaptive cruise control is concerned, that and the availability of LED headlights was what made me buy the 2018. In early summer 2017 I was almost bought a 2017 Tundra as I really wanted one, then I read about the added safety features and LED lights on the 2018 and held out until November. The 2018 has all I wanted, just had to pay extra to get the blind spot monitor system on the Limited.
