Is this something they will correct when taking it in? Like a known recall or you have to mention this TSB?

These are NOT recalls. Mention the TSB number to you service advisor and tell them you’d like it performed.

I have a service appointment in a while to replace a part what was damaged when I took possession of the truck. At that time can I ask them to perform any necessary TSB's? Or is a TSB something that has to be specifically requested based on a real problem? I'm thinking particularly about the transmission shifting TSB. My 1794 does not seem to have this problem now, but also seems reasonable to have them verify that it's software is the latest. Thoughts appreciated.

Request that it be done while they have the truck. I’ve never had an issue with my dealership performing them even if I’ve never experienced the issue. I’ve had the symptoms described and the ECU update helped but didn’t fully resolve it.

Thank you VERY much for doing this ryanwgregg. I have a clarification for the community regarding T-SB-0070-22, 'Rear Air Suspension Feels Rough Over Bumps'. I have a '23 model year and though listed here as 2022 only problem it WAS a fix that needed to be performed to my 2023 1794 non-hybrid with a 10/14 build and 12/10 delivery date.

You are amazing! I appreciate you taking the time to do this. You are a rock star, seriously!

I went into the dealer and they looked at me like I grew a third eye when I explained what was happening.

After coming home and researching I found this. I called them back and miraculously they knew what I was talking about even though my description of the problem was almost identical to the wording in the TSB.

Found a couple other ones they can work on now. So one issue turns into three.

And I played nice but since this is a safety issue I got in much earlier than they had me originally scheduled for when I dropped in.

TSB's are to be performed when and only when the concern is present and verified. The bulletins are so that the proper fix is performed consistently by technicians to factory spec.

When I was a service advisor they helped investigate concerns but when someone is standing there demanding or expecting to go down the list and perform them like a safety recall.....it takes everything, and more to not hit them with a dipstick when they are unable to understand or except the process needed.

    Perfect resources for every model.

This would be news to me. It could also be related to an installation issue with that particular airbag causing the leaks that some are experiencing.

Depends on the service department and how busy they are that day and how knowledgable they are about this process. Mine wanted to be sure I had the issues before performing them. They did a quick test drive and felt the hesitation. The clunk couldn't be heard because it had sat overnight and was started to get the dealership. The clunk, for me, happened the most when it had say for long periods of time.

The actually flash process is probably 30-45 minutes. Mine took 3 hours because of how busy my local dealership was that day.

Dropped my truck off today at 9am for 10k and both of those TSBs. Tech had 1 hr lunch during that time, and it was ready to go at 2:40 pm. They will test to see if they can duplicate, then perform TSB, then test again to see if it made a difference - that's what I was told.

When it says it effects trucks with a production change effect VIN, does that mean any vin with a higher VIN is not effected? My VIN is 5TFPC5DB1NX009979

My Pro is in the effected trucks, I cannot tell if the spring is bowed or not. Can I just schedule an appointment like usual and want this TSB checked out?

Brought the truck in today, needed and alignment anyway, it hasn't driven straight since I've had it. They said theyd look at it while it was on the rack.

Appreciate you providing these for us. I've been trying to track down the root cause of a hesitation in high gear, and turns out there is a TSB for hesitation from start and / or 8th gear. What would you know! Thanks Ryan.

Thank you for posting these. My Canadian dealership was able to find the CDN equivalent numbers for throttle lag and trans clunk, 5585 and 5586. Both done with same TCM update. Might be placebo, but truck does feel like it has superior throttle response than before. There's a stop sign on a hill on my street where it always lagged noticeably, doesn't lag at all now at that same spot. Without these TSBs, I suspect the dealership might have thought I was just being a complainer instead of pointing out a real issue that many others are experiencing.

For example: I had the ticking noise (that a handful of others have pointed out here) at the driver's side A-pillar; tech initially said it was ice around the panoramic sunroof. Uh, hard no, I know what that sounds like. Someone later determined noise was from "windshield locator tabs" under the headliner. Apparently these tabs are used at the factory to ensure proper placement of the glass during assembly. Appears the tab on the driver's side had moved somehow (think a piece of foam had fallen or shifted) and the tab was making contact with the front glass — driving me crazy with a constant but irregular tick, tick, tick that was almost as loud as my signal indicator. May be a future TSB.

Great examples to wait 2-3 years after a new product is introduced. 2024-25 all these bugs will be worked out. And some additional updates will be introduced.

Yes, but at what price? It's such a personal thing especially at current prices.

You do realize that the MY21 Tundra, which had been out since 2007 with the 2014 facelift, had quite a few TSBs as well...so who's to say that the MY24-25 will be any better than the MY22 Tundra...and if Digital Key comes to the MY24+ Tundra (I'm hoping the MY22+ has the ability, just needs a firmware/software update), I would venture to say that their will be even more TSBs, but what I do I know with access to TIS and all.

MY20 Tundra - 6 Safety Recalls and 40 listed TSBs (not all Tundra specific)
MY21 Tundra - 5 Safety Recalls and 34 listed TSBs (not all Tundra specific)
MY22 Tundra - 5 Safety Recalls and 25 listed TSBs (not all Tundra specific) - I will update this model year as need be.

And the shocker of them all for me....

MY19 Tundra - 12 Safety Recalls and 36 listed TSBs (not all Tundra specific)
