Thinking bigger is better this time around. My 1st gen Tacoma is great, but towing a 1300lb trailer with a ton load to New York may not be wise.
WHY are all Tundra's Automatics? Prefer manual, especially in the winter when snow.
Reading online that 2nd gen Tundra's are very reliable 2013/14/15
What say YE?,I have all winter to do my research, come late spring 2022 I'll need to make a choice, Tundra or Tacoma 2nd Gen

07-21 that have 5.7L are same motor, transmission, & chasis. Some of the shocks may me different. 07-13 are same gen2 body. 13-21 same gen 2.5 body.
As far as reliability, I would trust any of them that have been maintained.
