Anybody have the Undercover Ultra Flex? Trying to decide if it's worth getting or just sticking with the Flex. Thoughts, opinions and pictures appreciated!

I am considering that the Undercover Ultra Flex or the BAKflip MX3. Did you pull the trigger yet? If so, what and your thoughts. Or at least maybe someone will reply with thoughts, opinions and pictures.

i went with the Armor flex so i don't have to worry about scratching the top and is more durable in hail

Yes i like that one also. My local dealer talked me into believing that the spray bed liner material on top would fade some with UV exposure compared to the powder coated one.
I should mention that my truck stays outside year around.
Enjoy your purchase and the truck.

Follow up from my previous post. I did purchase the Armor Flex after all and installed it today. Please with it and was easy to install.

A little late to the game, but I have the ultra flex and like it. I chose it over the flex because of the stronger panels. The carpet on the underside slightly lower profile are really just aesthetic and don't make much difference. I did not install the led light bar.

Oh, I have no problem installing it myself. I have some running boards arriving today and a bumper step to install as well.

so is the only real difference between the ULTRA flex and the ARMOR flex the Line-X coating on the Armor flex and that the ultra has "carpet" on the underside?

The Ultra has FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) panels. The Ultra has aluminum reinforced panels. I don't know which is better, but they are different.

Just put mine on. Having some leaking/Fitment issues. I know your post is from a while ago do you have any other photos? Specifically those that show how close your cover is to the bulkhead? I have pretty decent leakage in the back even after putting in a tailgate seal. I think I have to slide my cover back a little bit, But I’m still having a little bit of leakage upfront. Love to see how someone’s is oriented Who doesn’t have a lot of leakage. Thanks!

I do not have any pics but I can try and get some. The amount of “A lot of leakage” may vary based on opinion/expectations. I do get a little water inside at the corners of my tailgate with a heavy rain. I personally would not call it a “lot of leakage” though. What I did find was even after installing a tailgate seal, there still were a big gap on the vertical sides of tailgate near the top.

Thanks for getting back to me. Yours looks to be wider a maybe longer. Mine doesn’t even cover the rails used to install. I reached out to Undercover. They are sending me a new one. Hopefully it is larger. You can see in my pick that the install rails are exposed and a lot more of the tailgate gap.

Yeah based on your picture and unless they have made some major changes to the rail mount….I would question that it may be the wrong model. My mounting rails attach to the Toyota bed attachment rails. There is no overlap on mine like yours.

Thanks. They did change the rail design which is fine. The flaps just do not cover enough like yours. I maybe have to finagle it a little bit. Appreciate you taking the time to help me out. Take care.
