I have a 2013 crewmax 5.7 with two borla pro xs mufflers 2.5 " in and out.one of my mufflers has the welds broken inside causing it to rattle. I am going to have to either replace the muffler or I thought about aborla pro xs 2.5' dual inlets and 2.5 " dual outlets. Which is the better choice? Looking for recommendations

Do they cause any drone issues. I have that problem from my flowmaster muffler on my 2000 tundra 4.7 v8.

One of the biggest selling points of his exhaust systems is that there is little to no drone. Single exhaust actually is best for the 5.7L. Duals tends to make for a loss of low end power. You have 2 days to get in on that group buy that @dirtydeeds is doing. This would be your best option

Like @Pudge said, the 5.7 prefers some back pressure (single) or it loses low end torque. It's a good idea to talk to Keith, he's a wealth of info.

I appreciate all the info. I really like the sound of the borla mufflers. I wanted some different opinions on 2 mufflers vs.1 muffler dual in and dual out.

I'd stay away from duals. DD exhausts hace 2 mufflers but feed into one tailpipe. It's a performance thing. If you insist on borla duals I think I'd see if they had a dual in/out. Would probably save money, and for an exhaust that does not add or actually subtracts performance I'd wanna spend as little as possible

I can’t confirm or deny this fact. But the internal muffler cores and packing may or may not be exactly the same product as borla purchased from exactly the same supplier.

The difference between Bamufflers and other big brands: we build every single part to order. And I personally consult with every single customer to figure out the absolute perfect build for them.

Give a call to kick around some ideas.

My truck already had the duals with two borla pro xs and 2 1/2" inlet and 2 1/2" outlet when I bought it.

I will be giving you a call Keith. My wife and I are going to murfreesboro tn next week. I would like to talk to you about trying to get some low end torque back. I removed my back two converters for better flow. That may have been a mistake! I want a lot rumble sound with no drone.mine has the 5.7 flex fuel v8.thanks for the number!
