Turn signal mirrors

    Hi again look guys i'm a begginer a total rookie so i just bought my first tundra sr5 2015 and i'm totally in love with her . I have done some mods alreasy and today i put the turn signal mirrors off of a 2018 platinum . It wo worked plug and play the only issue is this . Tonight when i turned head lights on the bsm lights came on also. And stayed on the whole time i had lights on since my truck didn't come with that option what do i need to do to disconnect it

    Do you replace the entire mirror assembly or just the glass?

    Do this at your own risk...

    You could try cutting the wire (or de-pin the connector) that powers that light in each mirror.
    But you'd risk having the BSM light in the dash might come on (if you even have one), then again it may not.

    This wiring diagram is for 2015, it may be the same as far as wire colors.

    I think this connector (M6 and N5) would be the one in the door at the mirror.
    It would be the beige wire on the right mirror (coming off the mirror) and the violet wire on the left mirror.
    Don't cut the ground because it grounds everything in the mirror.

    Or you could pop the glass out and cut the light lead on back of the mirror glass.
    Just make sure to put heat shrink on it since it will be hot/live.
    Again that may, or may not, make your BSM dash light come on if you have one.


    Maybe wait a day or three and see if someone else responds that can help..
