I’m super interested in this, but also curious how far it hangs below the crossmember when it’s all said and done.

That’s funny this came up!:) was sent pictures with a level and measuring tape mid morning. Anything hanging at its lowest part,,, XYZ the cross member, and using the lowest part of the rear end it will be even with the bottom of the rear end. Funny how that came up. Which I am fine with as my truck is not used off-road much at all!:)

I imagine it will look fine and part of the vehicle. I hope!!?:)

My guess is they are curios about the crossover for the exhaust?, the high flow cat, and the piece off of the blowoff going into the exhaust or not,,, said it can hang down a bit by itself if I wanted to hear that going off??:)

When it gets to the Part 2 might see if he can leave going into the air so I can hear what it would be like not tied into the exhaust.

So... you are doing this for drag racing? Wanting more oomph for towing?

    ^^^^^^

For kicks!! Do not tow. Doing it to help out a guy and his business, and taking advantage on getting a few more ponies to have fun with!! Cheaper than a new vette or Camaro!!! I am hoping that if I take care of it this will be my last truck to have fun with and to go see some sights!!:)

That's cool. Good thinking and good for you! I'm sure you'll have a blast with it. Will be fun when you school the new '22/23 TRD Pro Tundras. lol

A good bet would be the front crossmember, if you go lower than it, parts could snag.

There is an off-color joke in there somewhere that would result in my banning.
From this angle the silver piping looks lower than black crossmember and also looks like it would prevent running a transmission plate to protect the pan.

Christmas and bad weather results in not much happening for a while now. They are working with the Tuner so I am hoping they will be one step closer after the holiday and the bad weather passes.

Here in Texas along the coast we are expecting to be in the teens and 20s for four days then back in the high 60s and seventies for a couple weeks!!! This time they are saying they will not turn off our electricity during the three coldest days of the year!!!!!:)

Tuning starts today, hoping that goes smoothly. In between storms and I think another is on the way. I am staying away from the weather in hopes any disturbances will drift away from the general vicinity where the truck is!!:) After they get that accomplished then a dyno fun run!:) Then button up everything, finish with the pictures and what ever else needs to be done and back to the garage for Stage 2.

They really look nice in person. The truck is done in Grey and Black so it fits nicely with everything!:)

So I am paraphrasing this. Jesse is doing some tuning now and taking it slowly. Said what little boost when he did step into it the truck is mean!!:)

The pipe from the wastegate has a low growl to it and sounds downright nasty but it is loud!! :) Says some will fall in love with it and want it like that others will want it piped into the exhaust. For now I am having it piped into exhaust?? might change my mind?

I am sure he will chime in here when the tune gets towards the end and of course when they go the dyno and call it complete for Stage 1. The tune is all that is lacking to be completed.

Received a short video of the truck running on the road!!! The turbo sound and the TRD exhaust sound awesome!!! It will turn heads! Folks are going to wonder WTH is going on!!!! It sounds GREAT!!!!:) :)

    LOL!!!!

I am sure he will be posting a video coming up shortly in a few days. Bad weather again so they’ll work on that and the tuner thinks there is a little vacuum leak so they will look at all the Ts they put in and get it ready for better days coming!!:)

    Same.

He ranks them NA < SC < Twin (SC + Turbo) < Turbo

Been following this thread after hearing about it on TacomaWorld in the SC thread. Super excited!!
I have a 2019 Sequoia that has the same 5.7L V8 as the Tundra... @TurboKits.com will this fit the Sequoia?

There are pros and cons to both setups. Just depends on what your needs are. If we are talking twin screw vs turbo for the street then I’m going twin screw all day but if we are talking centrifugal vs turbo then I’m going turbo.

If you’re talking an aftermarket bolt on system on what was an NA truck, Id say it depends on the use. For truck duty such as frequent towing and hauling I like the SC, and the instant power at all RPMs is great. It’s also familiar to the platform as far as tuning, troubleshooting, modding etc. For a street queen, drag racing build, or just going for max power numbers on a dyno and not intended for as much truck duty the turbo kit is probably a blast and is very unique. Can’t wait to see the sights and sounds of the turbo kit when it’s done.
