I did mine today; it was the first really "extensive" mod I've done. Lou was very supportive. Definitely need to solder the wires to the switch posts if you're going to use the "ledge" mount.

I added a front camera. I have the TSS system in my Limited, so the TSS unit is behind the Limited grill emblem. There's space below the TSS unit to mount a camera, but I didn't want to drill a hole into the emblem. So I created a mounting "plate" out of 3mm black acrylic, utilizing existing grill screw locations. I wanted the camera as close to center as possible, but where I drilled the hole in my plate, it's a little too close to the emblem, so I can see the emblem in the upper left hand corner of my camera view. Pics below. I might move it over a little bit later, but for now, I'm fine with it, as it serves it purpose. The black acrylic sheet and the camera were only $19.40 combined; I'll put the links for them below. Overall, what a fun experience!! Thanks again Lou!!

Maybe i missed it but why is the VIM switched? Can it be permanently bypassed? or are there certain functions that unintentionally are disabled?

Somehow I have shut my XM radio off in my install, where does the antenna hook into a stock SR5 non-nav head unit?

See pic below (found it on-line). Did you disconnect more than the 24-pin and 28-pin connectors for the FRAC Harness??

Take a look back there. You shouldn't have any dangling connectors.

Well, I hate to, but I have to ask a dumb question... I am trying to install the FRAC and having trouble getting the cover panels off. I have broken two tabs on one panel, so I am asking on this next one. I have a 2016 Tundra Double Cab with the gear shift on the steering column, so there is a cover panel below the Cig Lighter panel (that is below the A/C knobs). How do I get those bottom two panels to come off? I am using the removal tools and bending the plastic to near breaking! I watched every video I can find and they all have the console in the middle (which mine does not).

Please help before I take hammer and beat the hell out of it!

I’ve got a ‘17 with the column shifter. Same set up as you. When I did mine I grabbed the lower panel that you’re describing and gave it a tug straight back and it popped right off and sort of brought the other panel above it out too. Didn’t use any of the body pry tools. I’ve had my head unit out a few times w no issues.

Mine has a moulding clip on either side (at the bottom) that seems to be holding it in. Does yours have those? I just tried pulling it pretty hard and it's not coming. I appreciate the help!

Do you have any of the plastic trim tools? I have a 17 and mine was pretty hard as well. I had to go around the putter edges with the plastic trim tool and managed to eventually pry it open.

Yep, those clips are the problem. That worked... I had to use a razor blade to get under that lip. Thanks Samuel!

Had a little glitch, but TundraTex was great to work with, would that all providers gave the same kind of customer service! Up and running, I love the mod!

Anyone have issues where the rear cam doesn't come on right away when put in reverse or button pushed? At first it took about a second to turn on, then 3 sec a few weeks later and now it can be more than 15 sec if it does come on. Results are similar wether I use the rocker switch or gear selector.
