I just have to say that this has been the best mod. Parking is so much easier with the front cam. Towing is safer with the ability to check the rear anytime. And, inputting an address anytime, or using the other blocked functions when moving has been great!

    Thanks Lou!

Lou, I will echo Mikey MTB quote . Parking with a lifted truck is so much easier and towing safer ( I can see when straps come loose , which did the first time I towed with the FRAC installed ) the most use I get is from the rear camera use for blind spot / traffic monitoring is busy traffic just a quick glance at the screen as I scan the mirrors and I know what going on beside and behind me !!!!

@TundraTex how hard is this to install for someone who hasn't really messed with a lot of wiring?

I would say there is more work involved in the physical installation (mounting the front camera, routing the wires through the firewall, etc) than in the actual electrical wiring. I designed this to be as plug and play as possible. Then there is also the fact that we practically live in the same zip code. So OEM assistance is not far away! I think here are a few other DFW folks that had similar questions. Maybe we need to have a DFW FRAC install party!

I am not one to mess with wiring and it cost me $150 at a car audio installer . They were impressed with the FRAC!

@4x4_Angel if you have a Toyota Logo in your grill, I'd recommend the iNewcow cam for ease of installation. Installs with no drilling. However the guys with PRO grills have used the others listed and those installs are pretty simple as well. You just have to determine where you want to drill the mounting hole.

Good news! The FRACv2 design is completed and tested. I installed the pre-production prototype in my CrewMax today and it works just like it should.

So... Tomorrow I will give the green light to my various suppliers and get the parts train started. At this point, lead-time is 3-4 weeks for all the components. I will start assembling the final product as I receive the components. I'm still working out a couple of final parts issues, but those should be resolved this week. Once that happens I can lock in the price and I plan to start taking paid orders in about 2 weeks. Shipping will probably start the week after Labor Day.

Thanks to all on the waiting list for your interest and patience. Getting a new product off the ground is quite a chore, but it's getting closer!

@dentdave, you are on the list, and you are correct, the FRAC harness will work with either 1 or 2 cameras.

I plan to install a front camera as this harness was designed for.

But is it possible to have a second video input option for another device?

I'm sure you can install a video switch into the frac rca.
