Ha! I’m gonna be your neighbor. Rented a room there also, it’s real close to camp. I have trouble sleeping, and Trailers to Sedona is bad with generator/highway noise. Hate cold, and going #2 requires digging through the equivalent of concrete at the camp site. Lol.

 

Can I come poop at your place?

 

Maybe? We need to get to know each other little better first. Lol.

 

I think he means he’s going to bring his chair and squeeze one out on the doorstep of your room.

Tryin’! ‘Got lots of irons in the fire at work plus, my anniversary is the Thursday . I’ve got the go-ahead to celebrate on a different day (‘um… really?!’), but work is still work.

But meeting you guys and hanging out with great people like @Vizsla, @KevinK and LisaK, Bruce, and so many others is definitely a big draw. I’d love to drink a beer with @Cruzer.

I should know for sure by Monday.

 

Ugh. Hearing it’s going to be extra cold, and that some of y’all are getting hotels, isn’t helping. It was SO damned cold the first year I went. (Bbbrrrrrr!)

 

Ours is tomorrow, but celebrating up there!!! What better than a dusty smooch!!!
I’m excited to meet new tundra folk too and share good times, hopefully you can be on the list!!! I think me and @des2mtn will be camp mates, and possibly holding down the fort for other SoCal cats.

Haha! Bruce’s friend Stu made that for my 50th birthday party. The thumbnail pic doesn’t reflect the effort put in. It’s perfect. Lol.

Was going to camp. Dropped truck off for wrap but they fudged it up and have to re-do, so won’t have it back in time to re-install truck house. Kevin turned me on to an electric blanket that works really nice, won’t have mine but give his a look.

 

It is! Stu is a talented guy. See? All great people!!

Oh, dang! So what will they do, replace the entire wrap? I knew Bruce is getting his done (after T2S now… damned supply chain drama), but I didn’t know you’re doing. That’s great! All o’y’all will have completely renewed trucks; I can’t wait to see them (and you, @Mrs. Vizsla , and @Vizsla, Jr.)!!

My 8 year old has a flag football game that weekend. Looks like I'm child free all weekend.

Does that mean you’re back to camping?

 

The thought crossed my mind since I have the camping gear. I don't want to cancel the motel reservation, just in case he changes his mind about going with me.

If anything, I can always hang out with the party crowd until my bed time and go back to the motel room to sleep.

 

Not entirely sure yet. Might break up the trip over across a day or two and take my time getting there. Plus I have to work Monday and Tuesday so the office may be coming with me.

You are welcome to camp in the vicinity of @FrenchToasty and I. We are tentatively staying in the "May or May Not Party" area and will likely mosey around a little.

Im departing San Diego tomorrow evening, stopping in Parker AZ for the night then headed to sedona.. not sure what everyone's plans were, but shoot me a msg maybe we can meet up along the way!

What time will check-in start on Monday morning?

We arrived early to check out a side trail off Schnebly Hill Road and camped for the night. Trails were muddy in a few spots but drying quickly. This was Thursday, Oct 14th.

Looking forward to meeting everyone this week!

Hope you guys have a blast up there. I had to back out due to a wedding that conflicts with the two days I was planning on making (Friday/Saturday). I'll catch you guys up there next time. I guess that will at least give me some more time to prep the rig.
