    My friend was a contractor overseas as well until he was captured with six of his employees. He owns a satellite communications company. He made it back after three years of captivity with one remaining employee. It's only been since last year that he's started to open up what he's experienced, even so a select few of his close circle.

    He has had strong, family and friend support. His wife took over the company in his absence. Her money, connections, and never giving up, brought him home. The employees that didn't, she had trust funds set up for all the kids that lost a mother or father. The spouses were helped as well. Since most of the people that went with were a close knit of friends/employees. His wife has been taking care of them as if they were family. Sometimes a takes a bad thing in life to happen to show us as well the good side of humanity as well.
