Love Makers. Last week the wife bought me some Makers 46 while at the grocery store. I know it's supposed to be their "special" version, but I think I like the regular one better.

I remember I got a chuck when I was a kid at 434 paces with a 222. So interpreting kids steps I figured somewhere about 375 yards.

I use a 244 now for chucks. The last deer I got was with a ruger Redhawk 44 mag. I have never shot a deer over 35 yards

Come out west...we will put some distance between the deer and you for ya. Some places you're lucky to get within 300 yards due to land scape and open ground.

The brush is so thick around here. I love the guys that show up with 16 power scopes and belted magnums. I giggle when they see my 35 Remington with open sights.

I have a few spots like you describe, along the river. Willow thick as :censored:. 20-40 yard shooting lanes, if your lucky. I use my lever action 30.30 for that area.

And another thing, ya'll have sasquatch out there. And I'm afraid that a female sasquatch would run off with me and have her way with me.... and I might like it!
