It was pretty good. Had 14 trucks I think, We were in the parking lot for a solid hour and a half before a few of us got hungry and went to the BBQ down the road while the others either went home or went shopping at Bass Pro. @stewtopia posted a couple pictures in the meetup thread. I'll be setting up the next meet in western MA and I'm thinking either the Holyoke mall or Berkshire east. Holyoke is a nicer parking lot but berkshire would have a beautiful scenic drive up route 2 through charlemont. Berkshire also has ziplining and a mountain coaster so if people wanted to bring family and make a day out of it they could.

    Sounds good to me.
Is there a family oriented place? I'm with my wife and son, I'd rather not leave him alone.

Absolutely, tomorrow day isn't good, working for a livening sucks. Thursday night not good either ,unless you want to come to a book club meeting at a local brewery. I'll talk to my better half, plenty of places to socialize.

I spoke too soon. Think we've identified a problem with the way one of the cooling systems is lined up.

It’d be great to get together for a quick bite and maybe a beer after work.

There are the usual chain restaurants found everywhere but if you are looking for something close to the beach and where locals like to go to, here are a few.

    Seafood and more.

We’ve been going to Big Sam’s for many years.
Not much to look at from the outside, but the food and prices are very good. casual atmosphere, great staff. Again, a locals favorite. Kids and adults like this place. Good vibe, it’s overlooking large fishing boats docked. We are seated on the upper level so you get a good view.

    http://bigsamsrawbar.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/Big-Sams-Main-4765-C5905-FA.pdf

Another place also at Rudee Inlet is called Rockefellers:

    https://rockafellers.com/

Neither will break the bank and the food is always good at both. Either one will give a good representation of what we like about Virginia Beach’s casual dining.

Another place if you’re looking for an all you can eat buffet is called Captain George’s. Pricy but they have everything. Probably best for a Saturday or Sunday brunch where you can go back to your room and relax. A ton of food.

    https://captaingeorges.com/pricing-location/virginia-beach-va

There are other places too, just depends on what you and family would like.

Big Sam’s has great breakfasts too. You may want to try them out on your own too.

Good parking with an additional parking lot to the right as you’re looking at Big Sam’s.
