On the new X, when u walk up to it the doors open. Don’t forget, there’s auto pilot, and then full FSD. FSD has a lot of tweaking to do, but the advanced auto pilot is pretty damn sweet

My luck I would think I was clear of the door and stand up and smack the shit out of my head.
But.. I'd always be up front so all that doesn't matter.

I struggle with radar cruise control. Not sure I'm going to let my car try to drive itself. o_O

It’s for some tweaking to do, but when I did it on the test drive, it was a blast.

    Nice, good to know.
More cargo room, higher seating position and ground clearance has me leaning towards the SUV.

Model X has the most ground clearance I have found at 8.3 inches.... That's about a quarter inch more than my Jeep Renegade Trailhawk had and 3 quarters less than @LarryDangerfield's Subie.

You should schedule a test drive. Zero pressure at Tesla as anyone can order, all day long.

Might have to do that next time I'm in Seattle, they don't have traditional dealerships right?

    Ok, you asked for it.

The only two downsides to getting a lift are these:
    1. You'll look shorter next to it
    2. You're changing angles that may cause additional wear.

    Both are readily addressed:
    1. You break your femurs and use a cage-like device on the upper and lower thigh with screws you twist to lengthen the bones on a daily basis as they knit back together. You'll be taller and therefore more attractive to women.
    2. You don't worry about any wear from a lift because you will be trading this off in a year or two and that's the next guys problem.

There, that covers the "negatives" for the lift. On to the positives!
    1. You will feel more manly towering over other vehicles. This will boost your confidence and make you more appealing to the ladies.
    2. You can more readily roll over the hobos and children that are too slow to scurry out of the way. Off the road, Peasants!
    3. You can fit larger tires that will look cooler! Rule number 1: Always look cool.
    4. Those larger tires will also increase ground clearance to further ease the passage of peasants beneath your undercarriage. Some may even survive.
    5. Being so magnanimous will further increase your attractiveness to the fairer sex.
    6. We all know chicks dig yoga and men that do it. Well, the lift will allow for articulation, and that is basically yoga for cars.

I'm semi-rural but Wenatchee/Chelan are the biggest towns near me. Pretty much between Seattle and Spokane.
