    Gonna need it. Handing off in the morning to the guy that won't show up early, won't stay late, and barely knows the minimum, and zero ambition to progress without being paid more first. I think he comes from a bigger company where you were given raises and promotions based solely on seniority and you didn't have to demonstrate drive. He does the minimum until he gets a pay bump or title change that includes more tasks.

    He's not terrible, but if it's not the bare minimum monitoring of the network he's not interested. We had major equipment changes and new systems that I get to try and hand over to him. Normally I just have an email with the events of the week that are still ongoing, and I send that a few minutes before the end of shift. I walk out the door as he walks in, but I can't really do that this time. I'll probably have to stay late to get things handed over.

    Yeah, we have a handful of people like that as well. They come in as late as possible, leave as early as possible, and instead of setting a job up well they just set it up good enough to ship even though it doesn't look very good.

    Well this turned into an interesting yet enjoyable evening. A journey is better than the destination kind of trip. First place that said it was in stock it wasn't, so had to drive to the second Walmart. Google maps decided to take me on the most convoluted route imaginable. By the time I get home I will have put on over 100 miles to get a cell phone case that is already coming in the mail :rofl: Windows down, perfect temperature, and some good music. Absolutely no regrets.

    Forgot to mention one thing! The shelf tag said the case was $50 but at the checkout it rung up at $60. I would have told the person by the registers about the discrepancy but somebody there smelled so badly of body odor that I couldn't even think I was in full-on panic mode I had to get out of there.

    Booked my first business trip in 3 years. Looking forward to getting to visit a new country but already getting a bit stressed about international travel.

    Had to stuff the trip between vacations, so will be returning after a 14 hr flight, hooking up the trailer and driving off for a long weekend.

    Whelp, have to do the nose poke prior to both flights. Great.

    I got 5-6 emails immediately after booking my flight and none were about getting a PCR test. Furthermore, no one seems to know how to get one or even if the company has made arrangements with specific labs. WTF…

    Finally found a link to the lab with an account for my work. Last test available is 3:30pm on Friday and they don’t work on Saturday. So exactly how am I supposed to get a test within 48hrs of departure!?!?

    Even more frustrating is that the plague is at mortality levels below a normal-to-bad year of the flu, and they don't ask you to snot on a stick for the flu...

    Won't any place that does them give you a sheet with results you can hand in? I'm not happy about being in suburbia, but if you find yourself at an intersection in Plano that doesn't have a CVS or doc-in-the-box, you can travel less than a mile in any direction and find one.
