Whatever this forum told me to do
getting lathered up is a personal choice.

    paying taxes is not.

    ex:
If I choose to not get lathered up, all is well.
not so much if I choose to not pay my taxes.

and, I don't know if you know...but, never get sideways with the IRS.

    small story -
The owner of a company from a previous lifetime, changed our EIN WITHOUT telling me.

we had an armed officer show up thinking we were embezzling p/r taxes.

    it ended well.

All of the alphabets can fuck right off. The IRS should be the second to be in the welfare line. By increasing all sales taxes, across the board, you capture spending from honest and not honest folk alike. Tourists, drug lords, cashiers and all get taxed the same. Add a specialty sales tax on high dollar items, like they do in NJ and call it a luxury tax. Then you fuck with the boys who make m's and b's at a higher rate. Leaving us peasants with older vehicles to our own demise.. and then we keep our full paychecks and an entire alphabet becomes irrelevant.. oh, and those silly tax evaders in ID... they get taxed too... crazy...

I worked for the IRS for a few short years. There was a revenue agent team in Euless (a Dallas remote office) specifically dedicated to tossing people out of their homes so they could auction them to pay back taxes. At least one instance of a 70-year-old widow being thrown out.

But then you get the knobs who think trucks are both luxury items and should cost $70k+ and you're back to unfairly penalizing the working man.

    it gets worser.

a flat tax would put the collections at the state/local level.

and TX is a filthy shit house of corruption.

If it's a VAT tax, someone will be poking their nose into it. If it's a tariff, at least at the consumer end, nothing is a luxury. Or everything is a luxury. Either way, there's no little man in the corner madly stamping a pile of paper deciding what constitutes a luxury.

I am watching, but I do not know. My guess is no, but I am forever a pessimist when it comes to the feds working anything out. If we will see a correction, My hope is it will be with the next administration and that case. We will def see.

$ figure. If I remember correctly, 3rd row and over 70k was the threshold on vehicles when I was shopping there, but I do not recall.

It puts collections in the hands of those already doing it, but they would need to forward to the feds so there would be some fed issue with that, but that would be between the state and the feds. Not the citizens and the feds. Citizens should not be engaged with the feds on a routine basis. IMO. We would see nothing different on our day to day than we do now. Other than pricing changing.

Shoulder is finally coming back up. Was able to hit a top set of 275 on incline again. I think I could have gone 295 with a spotter, but didn’t want to push it too much yet

this was after I worked my way back to to 120db incline to failure

10% personal flat tax rate across the board. Make a million? You pay $100,000. Make $10? You pay $1. No tax breaks, no write offs, no hiding income in dividends etc.

    Companies pay 5% flat tax.

All products are subject to a 5% tax.

Oh there are several issues I have with the word "freedom."

Med card, fishing license, CCL, if you get a med card you cannot have a ccl.... cant buy booze at a grocery store, etc... The freest country in the world with a lot of examples of lack of freedom...

I don't think the rich would mind.

this would effectively lower the amount of tax they pay. Top 1% pays >90% of all tax.

the problem is, the amount of tax the non-rich would now pay does not make up for it.

and I'm not worried about the rich... they pay for everything as it is.

I worry about the low income folks that would now have to pay taxes.

or...simply stop working and fall onto the welfare rolls.

Absolutely. Hack, slash, burn, salt the earth.

They'll be fine once they do the math and realize that it all evens out as well as the country becoming much more business friendly and the population having more disposable income to spend/invest. We also need to ban lobbyists and corruption as well as institute term limits.

Legacy laws should also be in place. Your daddy was president/prime minister? You never will be. You should never be allowed to climb above one step below what a previous family member did in the politicial system.

I have thoughts on the Canadian system, that I'll avoid getting into here, but basically it would require a complete tear down of our current system, disconnection from the bloody Brits, and a ground up rebuild of everything from the alleged Charter of Rights and Freedoms (lol, what a joke that is), the Constitution (another joke) and our legal system. Ideally, a form of balkanization would occur.

America doesn't need quite so much of a gut job thanks to their Constitution and the checks and balances worked in their system but from what I can see they do need some pretty serious shake ups as well.
