Greetings--I am new to this forum, but certainly not to Toyota or Tundra [this makes for our 6th Toyota product since 1987]. I had owned a 2006 Tundra for 10 years and while it was the perfect truck for me, and barely broken in at 109K, my wife felt the need for a larger RV trailer requiring something with more HP. I recently retired and our plans are to do some cross-country RV-ing from our home in Missoula.
Before deciding on this truck, I thought for a few seconds about going with a Ford EcoBoost, but reliability and longevity are the biggest factors for me, and my research indicated Ford was unlikely to deliver on either.
After buying the '18 Tundra, I posted my '06 to Craigslist and had 3 full price offers within a few hours [made me want to pull the ad and make room in the garage for 2 Tundras]. It went to a good home--another "Toyotaphile" who said he had been looking 10 years for this exact truck.
While formerly a member of the Gen-1 forum, I was not much of a contributor but shamelessly pulled a lot of information out of it that helped me along--from finding the best towing mirrors and topper, to performing a timing belt change-out.
I look forward to input from this forum and will share anything I learn along the way.

Welcome from SC. Stay away from FORD!! I have Ford for 20 years but they was diesel trucks. Last truck 14 350 front replaced 3 times. With 45,000 miles on. This is my 1st Tundra. There are a lot of GREAT information on this site. When I did my research Tundra was a no brianer.
