I have a 2005 Toyota Tundra Double cab 2wd. I took the rear driver side axle out to get the wheel bearing pressed out and new one in. The machine shop told me that the wheel bearing spun onto the shaft. Now I will need to buy a new rear axle shaft. I'm not able to find it anywhere for a 2005 Toyota Tundra Double cab 2wd except from a the toyota dealer. Part number I believe is 42311-34060.

Thanks any help will be appreciated.

Ouch. Might want to check your local junkyard for that axle shaft.

NAPA sells a Rear Axle Kit that I have on my rear driver side after a shop debacle.

Parts look quality, but only one recco is to buy and use the Toyota Seals which are superior to the NAPA ones that are provided in kit. Do not use the NAPA Seals. Buy Toy Seals.

NAPA Kit costs about $300 (axle, rings, seals- do not use)

Toy seals are about under $20.

Found an axle shaft at the local pick n pull. I'm putting it back on now but notice my seal has a tear? Do you think it will be ok to put on or put the old one back in?

Why not just buy a new seal... they're not very expensive.

Buy a new Seal for about $10 OEM only. Do not put that torn one on or else you will ragret it.
