Just been browsing through the forums and have not seen anyone with 37s on stock rims so I thought I would post up a picture of mine.

Was the 8 inch lift enough to do it?

Is that the readylift 8"? Did you need new upper control arms? Are you running wheel spacers? Thanks.

Yeah the lift is from readylift. It cleared the 37s just fine no rubbing. I don't have wheel spacers.so I had a nice new set of upper control arms but the lift actually requires the stock up control arms.. I didn't regear. I had another tundra that I was running 37s on and didn't regear for almost 60000 miles and it did just fine no issues. But I have a big travel trailer now so I bought new gear just have not had the time to put them in. I think that answered all the questions lol

You're making me feel great about the 35s I'm putting on this week. I was worried I'd need to regear

Yeah I mean depending on what tundra you have you should have 4.30 gearing so 35s will be nothing. I know I read all over forums about people saying you have to regear and blah blah blah but they probably don't even know how to do it them self and I saw my gears after running 37s on my last tundra and they were perfect even after 60000 miles.

I mean the last tundra I had with 37s i sold at around 90000 i believe and I beat on that one a lot. I took it to moab and a ton of adventures in the pnw and when I sold it I had no transmission issues. This one im a little more gentle on I guess so I'm not too worried.

    Nice setup

What kind of trailer do you tow?
I currently have a Tacoma and am looking into trading in for a tundra possibly... or maybe even a diesel. However cant beat the reliability of a Toyota.

I have a TT that weighs about 4500# now, Tacoma does fine but I need more space for the kids and cargo. If I upgrade the truck then you know what that means! hahah maybe upgrade the trailer
I am really paying attention to payload and tow rating this time around;its crazy how it changes from truck to truck. I really would like to put 37's on my next truck. Just curious as to how it affects it as a towing rig

    Thanks!
My travel trailer is 7800 dry weight.
I mean i think it tows it just fine with 37s but 6ou know we only take the trailer out maybe 10 to 15 times a year. If your wanting to buy a rig thats just going be a tow rig then I would recommend a diesel they are just built for that. But with us we still have our roof top tent and like to go out and adventure without the travel trailer so we kinda get best of both worlds. But ya 100 percent if your buying a truck just for towing I would go with a diesel

8" lift, plus 37" tires. No running boards or side steps.... You're either single, or your SO has some really long legs. ;)

Are these the stock 18s? Did you have to put wheel spacers to fit these? the ready lift kit i bought for my TRD pro says the stock 18s will not work

    Too many, but not enough....
Wouldnt some tire places not put a tire that big on a stock 8" rim? Seems kinda small to me for that tire but im not an expert on oversize tires.
