I love my Tundra... but have had some issues with parking. (I’m a nurse and hospital parking is tight)
Is the Crewmax easier to park? Does it have a shorter wheel base making it easier to turn.
I also need to pull a horse trailer.. which is equipped better for towing?
    Thanks in advance!

    its the same exact truck.

Do you want more bed or less bed?
More room in the back of the cab or less room in the back of the cab.

I was told that the wheel base is different... not true? Are they the same length (DC with 6’5” bed & CM with 5’5” bed)

Nope. Same wheelbase. Only difference is the DC just looks way better.

    Welcome from NY.
    I love my double cab.

Do you need more cargo space or interior space?
Double cab for more cargo space.
Crew max for more interior space.

Or a crew max with a tailgate extender and you have the best of both trucks...

Do you back in or face into parking spots?

And more useful. I feel like the back seat is roomy. Not a limo but comparable to most suvs or full size sedans.

Then you need a bed extender. You also get strangely proportioned rear doors. The rear doors look bigger than the front. Makes it look like a minivan.

Do you not worry about having things bouncing up and damaging your tailgate while it's down and driving?

Same width too. I came from a DC to a CM. The only difference is leg room in the back as far as the cab goes. Even then there’s still plenty of leg room any way.

This was a point I was going to make. If you back into the parking space, you're taking advantage of swinging the front around as you back into the spot. Like an outboard motor boat.

Both are equally difficult to park going forward. I recommend backing in if possible.

After reading all this I'm confused. Do you want a longer truck? A longer bed? A shorter truck? A shorter a bed? Queen bed? Bunk beds?

I'm going to bed. Good night.

To further add to your dilemma, DCs weigh less but have the potential to get slightly better mileage. CMs weigh more, probably get slightly worse mileage, but won't be pushed around as much by no steenking horse trailer. So, what's it gonna be, girl?...DC or CM? :D

And, oh yeah, DCs do look better.

Thank you everyone! I guess I will stick to my DC Tundra as there seems to be no advantage for me to get a CM Tundra. I rarely use the back seat... I like the 6’5” bed... so I better learn how to park and drive what I have! I’m going to start backing in to my parking spaces.. maybe it will even put the outside wear on my tires.. lol

Agreed... But everyone who thinks a DC looks better isn't getting an invite to the dance party I'm having in the back of my CM! There's so much room in there for my kids (one with two legs/one 88lb'er with 4 legs AND the wife can still lay the seat back go sleep - as the kids say nowaday #winning)
