Just got a 19 and see it has a built in brake controller, how is it, good as an aftermarket? I had a Tekonsha Prodigy on my 08. Thanks.

Ok, I'm now reading their has been issues with the ibc and a tsb was released to do some sort of update on it. Should the controller on a 19 already have this update then? Anyone with a 19 have issues? I also read that an aftermarket isn't an easy swap anymore. o_O
So I'm reading reports on here of people with 19's still having issues with the ibc. Could someone point me to the tsb that was released for the sw update. Thanks.

We didn't have any issues with our TRD Off-Road hauling a Winnebago 2401RG loaded out to 6843lbs to a local state park (about 70 miles one way). Only thing I still need to do is adjust the trailer brakes a little still.

One thing that I have noticed is it may be LED trailer lights causing some issues. My rear lights are halogen - would like to replace them with LED but don't really want to have to wire resistors in line if I can keep from it.

I think this is 90% of the issues right here, LED bulbs in the trailer. My 2020 TT has old-school bulbs and my 19 Tundy's IBC is working flawlessly so far (knock on wood).

I have a 19 and the Brake controller seems to be very sensitive to any electrical issues. My horse trailer works but I will get the trailer disconnect if I don't make sure I have pushed the plug in in very hard. My old trailer brake controller never had a problem with this trailer. I think the built in one works fine but I'd rather they left it out and just had the wiring in place to put your own unit in the truck.

I have had the issue on my 08 Fleetwood Evolution. Standard light bulbs in the tail lights. I had the dealer do the TSB controller update yesterday so hopefully I can report back with good news.
