Hi guys, 2009 5.7 ,4x4 tundra, replaced alterator and battery last year 75,000 miles, today on way to work I notice the battery gauge dipping below the half way mark. It never did that before, also when coming to a stop, and RPM go lower than 1k, the battery gauge drops ,but then goes up past half way mark when I acceleration.
No battery alarm comes on, but curious way after years of having this truck it doing this now

Need to have the alternator checked or check it yourself if you have a multimeter. Only problem is you won't be able to check amps but any major auto store will check everything for free

Ty for responding. I checked the receipt, both battery and alternator where replaced in Sept 2018. , 7 months ago. I'll reach out to the shop that did the work, hoping under warranty.

The other thing I noticed was starting up in the morning took around 30 to 45 seconds before the battery gauge went above the halfway mark.
    Ty again for responding

Went to Advance auto for free battery, alternator, starter, test, test failed for alternator. Dropped truck off this am to shop that did the work, they said I'm the 3rd bad alternator that they installed, the other 2 where for a GM, if that matters

Shouldn't really matter. Just a defective alternator. Hopefully this one will work out for you. Are putting in new or refurbished?
