Hey all. Been loving this site so far. I am the proud new owner of a Holstein 6112/5120 that is like to put on my 2002. I have some mechanical skills but just read a nightmare thread on this install. Anyone in the Ol Pueblo that I could buy some beers, ammo, what eves, to hang while I do this job? Or if I jump in and create a disaster suggestions as to who to call? Seems like the nightmare was due to unbolting the UCD and that cascading into other issues.

hey if none of the above, love to go out reddington or wherever at some point and learn some off road skills.

    cheers bros

Did you get Preassembled struts? I can probably help you out if no one else chimes in.

The coil overs are pre assembled so I hope it should be “easy.”

I realized that most wouldn’t be too keen on working in my carport as well! Damn I wish the temps would drop a bit. Ha, gotta do what I gotta do. So thanks a bunch for the offer. I’m going to start the rotors and brakes tomorrow; hopefully finish. (I start at 4 am to beat some heat) Then move into the suspension Tuesday morning. I’d like to also swap in steering rack bushings. If all goes as usual, this 8(?) hour job will take me only 3 or 4 days! I’m trying to get everything (including paint restoration) done over the next two weeks before I go back to work. You are certainly very welcome or I can send out an SOS in case something goes awry.

    thanks again

If your doing it this weekend, let me know, it’s not the bad, just soak in kroil or pb blaster. I can help if a situation arises. Our power is out and I’ve got a side job tomorrow night to beat the heat, I’ll be near the base if your in need

I installed rotors, pads, and steering rack bushings this morning. I feel more confident going into the suspension job now...

Well got this done this morning. The hardest part was figuring out a way to get the rear 5120 on. I jacked up the back end in a way that would not be advisable for anyone but it worked in a pinch.
