    Anyone try this??
The Sig P320 frames are not serialized and $40-$60, so I figured - eh, why not! Perfect practice host. LOL!
I practiced on a few Pmags, thankfully. Although the plastics are different.

I think it turned out not bad for my first job. It feels waaaay better, and having a rough place to rest your support hand thumb kicks ass.
    Anyone try this?
I used my R/C Car TrackPower soldering iron turned up to 900.
    Went pretty quick!
I think I’ll pick up the wood carving tools to properly carve out the edges, and do a Glock or 2.

Practice on Pmags, and rotate the soldering iron tip in multiple directions to create the pattern you want!

PS - stippling the Pmags (especially the front where your index finger rides coming out of a mag holster) kicks ass!

It’s actually the Sig P320 TacOps - so factory threaded barrel and 4 X 21rd mags. Same exact design and feel as the X5, just not as long.
It also came with a normal P320 frame that’s kind of blah. Lol

nice! i have an X5 i use for 3 gun. 21 rounds are nice to have and having multiple mags minimizes reloading ammo at the range. Im hoping to get the new X Compact when it releases in the next few months.

Looking forward to it. Looks really sharp.

I know exactly what you're talking about on the thumb and finger placement. This mod must help a lot.

Yea, I’ve done that in the past.
The factory front/rear stippling would be kind of awkward to cover. Sides of Glocks worked. And worked great on my pmag indentations!

Yep! Most of my pistols have the X300 which allows a nice resting place. When there’s no rest, your thumb just falls off. That’s not what you want for the support hand.
This is by far the best “feeling” pistol to my hand. Just fondled a few more, super happy with the way it feels.

I got an alert on my phone for motion yesterday, and it was some big ass snowflakes coming down. The ground wasn’t cold enough for them to stick. My elevation is pretty low. I’m guessing the foothills got hammered.
iPhone is showing snow next week, but with highs in the 40’s I can’t see it doing too much damage at lower level - but probably dump in the 800FT+ range.

If you want to practice stippling, good ole A2 pistol grips from ARs are great practice pieces before you commit to your actual firearm. I used a couple of those to figure out my pattern. I've done a G19 gen4 and a Sig P320 compact.
