I didn’t have any anti seize and was too impatient to wait and get some before installing. I had lube which I used in the bushings. I’ll probably get some anti seize and slap some on when I re-torque after 500 miles or so.

Are you doing front or rear? For rear, make sure you don't have end link connected to the sway bar. In both case, you must be not jacked up and level ground.

Which Hellwig did you get - the one for stock or the one for 2-4" lifted. I have a 2016 TRD Pro, which, as I understand it, comes "stock" w a 2" lift over a normal Tundra. Is that correct, and if so, should I then get the one for lifted? Thanks for any advice.

I removed my rear one. It was getting in the way when going off road. It was good for the freeway though when I had it.

I have a 2" leveling kit on the front, so I bought Hellwig model number 7889, and it fit perfectly.

Will the sway bar fit if we have a +1 or +2 shackle in The back?

I have +2 and mine hits the leaf springs nearing full droop. Full on rests the springs on my rear sway bar. Sucks. Looking for a fix. I have the +2 coachbuilder shackles and bilstein 5160 on the rear.

I installed the front and rear trd bars at home in about two hours. Toyota was going to charge me 100 dollars per bar. The front trd bar is beafier than the current one in the Tundra. I like the stiffness they both bring to the drive. I don’t super off road, camping and basic dirt roads.

I installed the TRD rear sway bar a few weeks ago. It does make the back end feel a bit tighter. I have a friend with a Tundra, and he's thinking about doing it. I basically told him I like it, but that's it's hardly mandatory.

Unrelated to Tundras, in half ton pickups, I've noticed that the Dodge Rams all have rear sway bars. The Fords and GM's don't.

I can't say how much the installation was because there were other upgrades happening at the same time my TRD rear sway bar was being installed. Adding the rear sway bar (TRD or Hellwig) is easily one of the more rewarding mods you can make on a Tundra...I also lowered the rear and bagged it.

Excellent video, thank you. The only problem is snapping the torque wrench more than once which causes over-torque on the bolts. Once is correct. Anal ex-helicopter mech here.

Has there ever been a buy-in on these things? Now that I'm looking for two of them, I can't find any pricing below $230 w/shipping.

Trd had a big sale a couple months ago that was like 40% off everything trd. I missed it but others got sway bars, skid plates, brakes and etc. I’m hoping there’s another one soon.
