Anyone own a sport? Hows the handling/ride vs an sr5 ? And im guessing the hood scoop isnt removable right? Local dealer just got one on but im not a fan of the hood scoop. But im tired of waiting on the 2021’s. Also this one comes lifted from the dealer. Looks like maybe a 2 inch lift. Anyone know if theres a certain lift the dealers all usually add or is just something cheap?

Many have the Sport package in here. Seems to be a nice compromise to get away from the chrome on some other packages.

As far as lift with dealer there is no in between. 90% of the time they are going to use the cheapest spacer lift they can find for the front. Sometimes they will do an actual lift with but charge about $15k for it...... I would bet anything they threw a couple spacers in the front and called it good.

I know you can add the hood scoop so it could be removable but you would be left with the holes that were drilled thru the hood. I'm not a fan of the scoop either, but if you like the rest of the truck I'm sure you would get used to it. I believe the sport has improved suspension over the base SR5, so the ride should be better. Each dealer has different contacts for suspension, I would assume they just put in blocks to raise the front of the truck. If they didn't increase tire size, you can remove those easily. If they put in suspension that provided the lift, your ride will definitely be better than a base SR5. If they did they later they probably installed Bilstein 5100s.

I have a 2020 Sport Plus. Only have 1,200 miles on it but rides and handles well. Good scoop is dumb but love the rest of the truck so dealt with it. So far no complaints, get a lot of compliments on it.

I probably should have bought a Sport but I'm cheap.

I would stay away from anything modified by a dealer. You can do better work yourself for less money.

I love my Sport. You could always find someone to swap hoods, a few members wanted to do that.
If you remove the scoop this is what it will look like underneath......

I love mine. Can’t stand all the chrome on the other models. Stiff ride with the sways but fun and looks great!CC7E0BB9-BA51-43BE-A57F-C1641B29DC4A.jpg

Love my 2020 sport, handles great, mine came with a rough country 3” in the front and 1 1/2 in rear level kit stealership installed but all in all I rarely go off roading! Great truck, My first tundra and I wouldn’t change a thing about it!

Started off on the voodoo craze and with the Covid BS dealer said yeahhh good luck we’re not allowed to swap with other dealers and that color in the NE was not available on a 500 mile radius around me so they pulled a Black one around and I fell in love...she looks great dirty too... buy the sport @Robster80 youll enjoy the handling guaranteed! I know I do...

I’ve never driven a pro, but the fox suspension is tuned differently! I know my sport sticks to the road around the nice turns we have here in the Catskill Mtns here in NY, I smile when my Cummins buddies can’t keep up through the turns hahaha

I love the Sport. I got it mainly because it has no chrome.

Badges were chrome, but those are now taken care of.

I have a 2020 Sport CM and love it. Feels like I'm driving a big car sometimes and not a truck due to how good it handles turns. My original choice was a Pro but their was no inventory in a 200 miles radius where I'm at and I couldn't wait any longer. Fake hood scoop don't bother me. If you already know you don't like chrome then either go with Sport or SX package. My MSRP is kinda high due to extra add ons that dealer installed. It was $47k after rebate. No dealership around me will budge on MSRP besides the rebate. To some it's high but I don't care I'm the one paying for it. Just recently installed TRD Pro wheels and tires and it feels like with the 18" it absorbs bumps even better and it made a big difference appearance wise on the outside.

yea the one im lookin at comes with 20” wheels but id replace those with 18’s.
The lift kit on it is a 3” readylift. Is that a good one??

I don't know much about lift kits yet, but you're in a great forum with very helpful people on here. I'm sure someone will chime in. I'm only planning to level mine in the near future.

Do you know if it is a suspension lift or is it a spacer (block) lift. If it has the TRD suspension on it then it will be a spacer (Block) lift. Spacer lifts in my experience give a poor ride even if it's mixed with the TRD Suspension. just my 2 cents.

I like the hood scoop, adds character and it doesn’t look like any of the others running around my neck of the woods
