Just wanted to share with y’all some unique mods to make this rig a great daily for myself. I say for myself because I’m function>form usually but this truck is so damn nice that I’m working on being more function=form for this build.

    Too many, but not enough....
Why would you sea foam a brand new truck?

First up is the Toyota bed extenders, both the old school and new AMPish ones. They work great as extenders and they work great folded into the bed keep your stuff like groceries, supplies and tools from sliding around the bed. Now on to the crappy part. If you have a awkward load or a bunch of shit then often you can’t use the bed extender either way. I have found myself strapping it down with a separate strap to the top of whatever load I am caring and I have also put it in the back seat numerous times. It often reminds me of the Dyno ribs that flipped the Flintstones car over. Now having owned 14 Toyotas and Two raptors I came to the conclusion that the Ford bed extender is the best. So I installed one into the Tundra because…well because I do things like this all the time. Try to make something good even better.

First off I took the ford bed extender and sized it up and sure enough it will fit sizes wise. Then i took the factory Toyota bed extender adaptors out of the truck, measured, drilled out the rivets, makes the center where I wanted to mount the ford bed extender to it and then drilled the Toyota adaptors out to hold the bolt that ford used to screw into their actual bed.
After that I got some nuts that would fit ford bolts, then I cut some off the threaded ends the ford bolts off so they would stick out past the Toyota brackets just enough to hold the new nuts. After that it was cake! Now keep in mind I mounted it 3/4 of an inch higher so that when they finally make a BedRug for the tundra the extender will fit perfectly flat.

Sea foam is a color we use to have on a Lexus LX. The new lunar rock color reminds me of it so that’s what I call it.

Just installed a tailgate table from Allpro Off-road. So nice to be able to sit a drink down or use it as a work bench.
