Modified 4Runner TRD Pro rack. I know there is a vastly varying opinion of these out there but I love the way it worked out on my Tundra. Fair amount of fab work but I dig it.

    Welcome from NY.

Looks great. Do you have pictures of how it is mounted to the roof?

That's awesome! I have been eyeing 4runner racks for years for my first gen.

    Nice work!

I'd love to see more pics. I was thinking of having a modified fj rack done. How much of a pain was it. I love the tube look

It wasn’t that bad. Worst part is drilling into the roof of the truck. Thats nerve racking. Its aluminum so you either need to weld aluminum or find another way. The 4runner rack needed to be widened about 7”. I’m almost certain the FJ rack will be way too long AND need to be widened. I’ll try to post more pics soon but I’m not sure how much I have from the fab/install. I tend to get too focused on the proj at hand and not take pics.

The FJ's are also curved on the roof, not sure how that would work

XLNT WORK! I was looking at modifying an FJ rack also, but I see by your work the 4Runner rack works better. Question: after extending the rack 7 inches, how did you rework the cross bar blades? Thanks!

Great job, I think it looks fine. I was thinking of using the roof rack off of a Sequoia. Has anyone done that? I think they might have the same roof lines.

    Looks factory. Well done.

Did you drop your headliner to make sure you didn't hit your side curtain airbags? I only ask because it's been an issue with another roof rack out there.
