What would you pay for a set of take offs? The ebay prices are nuts. 2 different listings are asking $3150. This seems nuts to me. I realize the dealership price is supposedly $3500, but it just seems like anything over $2500 is crazy to me. Even $2500 seems nuts. I realize it's all supply and demand though.
So, given that I'm a rookie, what would you pay for them? I'm assuming there's no warranty on them since they have to be bought aftermarket and Toyota won't sell them to the general public from my understanding. So, aftermarket is the only way to get them.....

Can you get them from a dealer? I believe that I read on here that you can't buy them from a dealer as it's Toyota will not allow them to sell them outright.

Someone here got them from a dealer - I forget who it was, but I believe they are a member from HI. Anyone else recall who that was?

I read that post previously I believe, but Roman mentioned that they would get busted if Toyota found out who was doing that.

You're probably right. Just wanting the 2019 TRD pro wheels and thought the suspension would be a cool combo to go with them. What's the rough cost on front and rear suspension on those King's or Icons?

Check out a few of the online dealers. They already have the discounted prices listed, hell of a lot less than eBay. You are correct in that the parts are still considered “manually allocated”. Dealers can order them as replacement parts but have to submit VIN#s etc. Most dealers aren’t willing to risk it.
Just depends on how bad you want them. I wanted a set since they were introduced but ended up finding a barely used set of the Bilsteins for a significant savings. If I were you, I’d just keep your eyes open on local Craigslist etc. they are starting to become more available. Unfortunately people are still asking a premium for them.

@J.A.T.O. had luck getting some from a dealer. Maybe he could chime in...

Give it some time and their prices will come down. You can get better suspension for the high prices most of these people are asking.

These prices are tempting me to sell the Pro Fox set I have and just install the Bilstein Pro set I have for sale.

For that price buy Kings, icons, or fox 2.5/3.0s. I don’t see what the hype for the “trd pro” label is all about

For me, I love the way my truck currently rides and didn't want to screw the ride with an aftermarket set up. I figured the Pro set up would be best since it's tuned by Toyota. I don't off-road hardcore enough to need anything more.

So you took off your stock suspension and added the trd fox on? How does it ride? I don’t off-road much at all, but wondered if it would ride even better on the road than stock. I’d assume it would.

Still running my stock TRD set up. Haven't installed the Pros yet. Bought a Bilstein set then before I installed them saw a Fox set so I bought those to use instead.

For that price you could get King, Fox, ADS, Icon or ELKA and get the most expensive UCA(total chaos) to make it a mid travel kit and still have some money left over. Unless you’re really wanting the “pro” name, it’s not worth it. I bought my kings for $2100 front and rear and I love them.

$1200 is all I’d pay. You can get better fox stuff for under 3k

Maybe somebody else can chime in here; I don’t have a sense of what the “right” price is plus installation plus an alignment

That a good price. I was looking at 3K for Kings with adjusters. I assume you didn’t get adjusters?

3k sounds like 3.0 king prices, and yes I have the 2.5 ones with no adjusters, save your money and get regular ones. Valving is more important than the adjusters, you’re not gonna mess with them all the time unless you’re really bombing it in the desert full time

They're fairly easy to install and there are installation instructions that shows you how to mark everything so you don't mess your alignment.

$2900 for a full set? You're not going to get 3.0 fox/king/ads for $2900 front and rear. 2.5s yes, all day you can get them for under that. With that said, get some rebuildable shocks for that price. I was told the trd pro is non rebuildable.

Yea I researched this a bit and they are not, at least to my understanding. The fact that they are a total bitch to find, overpriced, and probably just as tough to replace if something were to happen makes it a no deal for me. Pony up a few more bucks and get something rebuildable with clickers for a true suspension upgrade.

Per Fox the new TRD Pro suspension is rebuildable by them. Cost will be similar to 1st gen Raptor rebuild price. I wouldn’t pay more than $1500 for some Pro take offs. At $1500 they would have to have very few miles on them. Otherwise I would as others have said and just get ADS or the like.

I was able to get a set before I found out about the MAC rules.

I didn't have much firsthand experience with any setups other than the stock black shocks, TRD Bilsteins and the Pro Bilsteins. I just played it safe and spent the extra $. I wanted a Pro ride and got it.

The Pro foxes and bilsteins ride pretty much the same on the street. The foxes handle the bigger stuff better IMO.

I absolutely love driving this thing now. Worth every penny.
