I am interested in the TRD performance exhaust. I've read that it can improve your MPG or that it does not. I am sure the sweet sound makes it difficult to not keep your foot on the pedal :)

    Thoughts?

I haven't really notice any gains in mpg's. But, I love the sound of mine when I step on it (maybe that's why no gain in mpg ... Lol)

Any noticeable decrease in MPG? Do you know if the TRD exhaust is covered under the factory warranty?

All TRD products are covered under warranty if purchased and installed by Toyota.

Yeah it's hard not to love the sound when you put your foot down but no MPG increase for me but it's worth it imo!!

It was installed on this 2015 I just traded to. I'm averaging 16mpg with this truck compared to 17-18mpg on the similar 2015 I traded. The low RPM and high RPM sound is great, but I don't like it when locked up in overdrive loping along at around 1500-1600 RPM. It kinda goes blubblubblubblub and gets boring after an hour or so. Not obnoxious, just a bit annoying. I'm already pricing the parts to put the stock single exhaust back on. Like others have said, keeping my foot in the throttle to hear the 'good' sound doesn't help my mileage ;)

Yea honestly not going to add MPGs with any exhaust. Regardless of getting on it all the time

If it increased mpg, every Tundra would have that as a factory included item..even at the base level. I like my TRD exhaust though.

If anyone needs a stock exhaust I have the muffler section that I would give away for free. You would just need to find a tailpipe.

Hi Keith, I would be interested.
Which truck model is it for? Looking through the Toyota parts drawings it looks like there is one especially for the Crewmax which is what I need.

Crewmax, double cab regular bed,and single cab long bed all share the same exhaust. 07-09 will only fit 07-09.

10-13, and 14+ are different mufflers from one another. But they are interchangeable.

I should have all of the above. Give a call and I'll help decide which will work for ya. 760-877-4234

I love mine. I wish there was an increase in mileage. I seem to average about 13.1 with the duals.
