No. TRD Pro's will have the TRD skid plate, but no sway bars.

TRD Off Road does come with skid plates but they are different than the TRD Pro skip plate. They are the exact same skid plates that come on all Tundras that are not Pro’s. They are about 5 pounds and I would call them a dust cover more or less. The TRD skip plates only come on the Pro’s or for purchase.

The Sport model does come with sway bars. They are the upgraded red TRD sway bars.

The Toyota website lists the TRD Off Road package as including skid plates, implying that without the package, there are no skid plates at all. Sounds like deceptive advertising.

Toyota is all about deceptive advertising on the Tundra. They used to tell you that you couldn't get heated seats in an SR5. For 2020, they tell you that you have to go up from a base SR5 to an SX to get fog lights and privacy glass. It forces the buyer to physically look at a truck to figure out which features it actually has.

 

The Offroad package adds a couple of pretty light duty skid plates. Theyre not anything you would brag about having.

Yes, you are correct. It is going to be the same light duty skid plate that comes on all of the other Tundras. Only TRD Pro's will come with the TRD skid plate. Or if you buy it.

TRD Off-Road is only really getting you Bilstein Shocks, 18" TRD Off-Road Rims, different fires.

Bottom line, one needs to buy a Pro or pay $450 and purchase the skid plate separately if you want the TRD skid plate.


Toyota is not lying when they always the TRD Off-Road comes with skid plates.....

 

Don't forget the decal, that adds 5hp.

 

The TRD Off-Road package does come with a plastic fuel tank "skid" that regular Tundras don't have.
