So I've had my TRD tail pipes section laying around for some time, trying to run across a TRD muffler for a decent price, but no luck. I had a 40 series flowmaster on my '14 and really liked the sound. I stopped at a local muffler shop and asked if he could tie my TRD tails into a 40 flow, he said yes, but may not look good and may not work depending on the bends of the pipe whether or not they will line up with the outlets of the flowmaster... I know the length of the flowmaster is much shorter than the TRD. My thought is that he should be able to make up for any slight bends because he will need to basically cut the factory flanges off the tail section then bring the new extension piece into the 2 outlets on the flowmaster?? Anyways just seeing if anyone has had luck changing the TRD muffler out to a flowmaster. Thanks in advance.
