Hey guys, just curious as I haven't been able to find an answer on the toyota website and looking around at different parts sites. I have a 2020 tundra platinum and was wondering if they make the TRD air intake for it, or would you guys recommend a different brand entirely?

You can buy the 2017 and it would fit. The 2020 still needs to be CARB approved.

Oem tonneau, side steps, spray in liner. Trd skidplate.
The same 1 from 18 or 19 will work. I like it, many different opinions on the topic. I say yes for sound, looks great, lifetime filter and the truck came with other TRD parts.

I mean is there anything different on the 2020 version as to why it needs to get approved?

You would have to ask government officials. They test every year no matter of its design. It is frustrating.

Yeah damn government has to make everything difficult. I wanna start converting all the parts I can to TRD parts and I figure the air intake was a good place to start.

Try Afe Filter, TRD CAI is just a for looks. For performance spend the money on a @dirtydeeds exhaust. The best mod for your buck.

I’m actually getting my full front end and rocker panels wrapped with Xpel this week and ceramic pro on entire truck and windows tinted. Just dropped it off today. Let’s just say I’m not gonna be spending money for a while lol. But yes my next item is for sure the dirty deeds exhaust system.

They all add noise. None add power or efficiency over stock. As far as filtration, stock is covered by warranty.

Hello everyone! New guy here. I also wanted to add the TRD CAI. Has anyone found a good price on it? All I’ve seen is the low $400 range. Thanks in advance.

From what I’ve read on every thread on this topic on this site Aftermarket CAI are a waste of MONEY !!
When it comes to a Tundra any thing other then stock air box / filter - only advantage is looks and noise - but hey it’s your MONEY- do what u want !!

I had the TRD CAI on my 16 Limited. I don’t even remember there being a sound difference, definitely not a performance difference. But when you open the hood....it really does look cool!!! $400 cool??? Maybe!
I was disappointed when I ordered my 20 Pro, thought it would come with it, but doesn’t. Don’t think I’ll be adding it anytime soon.
